Introduction:
Fact: Satan's demons are everywhere and they have good arguments for every situation.
Think: Satan tempted the Son of God; so, why wouldn't you think he would tempt us? - Read Luke 4:13
I. Three Points Concerning Spiritual Warfare. - L- v.10-13
A. Use the Lord's strength. - L- v.10; Revelation 3:8; Philippians 4:13
B. Put on God's Armor. - L- v.11
"Wiles" Refers to schemes or traps. - 1 Corinthians 6:9,10; Matthew 24:24
C. Realize we battle against demons not people. - L- v.12
Fact: Satan's forces of demons are very organized, powerful, wicked and deceiving.
II. Ask God To Put On You His Armor. - L- v.13-17
*A. Gird your Waist with Truth. - L- v.14a
THE PRINCIPLE: /"To Gird your Waist with Truth" means You must know God's Truth; so, you then can obey God's Truth.
B. Put on the Breastplate of Righteousness. - L- v.14b
THE PRINCIPLE: We must accept God's Word and base our thinking and emotions on Scripture. Righteousness is living the will of the Father.
C. Put on the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace. - L- v.15
THE PRINCIPLE: /"The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace" allows us to stand firm in the Lord's power.
D. Using the Shield of Faith. - L- v.16
Q: What are the fiery darts shot at us?
A: Anything to tempt us to accept Satan's lies instead of trusting God's Truth. - Proverbs 30:5,6; 1 John 5:4
THE PRINCIPLE: "The Shield of Faith" points to our Lord Jesus Christ. To Place our faith in Him knowing He never fails. - Job 13:15; Job 1:21
E. Wear the Helmet of Salvation. - L-v.17a; Job 13:15; Job 1:21
THE PRINCIPLE: "The Helmet of Salvation is to protect believers from the lies of demons which try to deceive us, and make us think we are not saved.
F. Use the Sword of the Spirit. - L. v.17b; John 17:17
THE PRINCIPLE: God's Word is the Sword of the Spirit which reveals God's Truth; so, we can recognize Satan's lies.
