Can you see clearly?

This year is 2020.
We keep hearing that 2020 is about see with clarity.
John 9:1–11 NASB95
1 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 “We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. 5 “While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.” 6 When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing. 8 Therefore the neighbors, and those who previously saw him as a beggar, were saying, “Is not this the one who used to sit and beg?” 9 Others were saying, “This is he,” still others were saying, “No, but he is like him.” He kept saying, “I am the one.” 10 So they were saying to him, “How then were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered, “The man who is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash’; so I went away and washed, and I received sight.”
In this story we can see more than a man getting his sight.
The first thing we see is a cultures belief. The culture believes that if someone is stricken with some ailment their is sin in their life.
This cultural belief still exists in our culture.
Jesus revealed an answer for this cultural flaw in this story.
The Jews were taught to confirm what God was punishing.
They were taught to spit on people who were in sin.
Jesus redeemed a sound of hell to become a sound of heaven.
Every time that man hears someone spitting he is now reminded of His healing.
Jesus redeems what brought death to bring life.
Jesus is a redeemer, He takes what was death and brings life with that very thing.
What is the spit in your life?
Spit: You’re not smart, you’re not enough, it wont work for you, something is wrong with you, because you did that thing, you make things worse, you will never be able to make a difference, you are a bad mom or dad.......
Any reason you give to your torture in life.
Take that thing that has been told to you by others and by yourself even.
Jesus wants to redeem that sound in your life to be a place of testimony.
Paul who was Saul was given new sight about Jesus. (Acts 9)
Jesus was a place of pain in his life so much so he had people put to death who loved Jesus.
But, Jesus became his redemption, his redeemer. Saul fell deep in love with Jesus.
Luke 6:42 NASB95
42 “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.
Matthew 7:5 NASB95
5 “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
