Matthew 26:13 NKJV

Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

Simon -- was a leper -- most likely healed by Jesus -- hosted this supper for Jesus (the guest of honor). He had been touched by Jesus, delivered from his disease. Filled with gratitude and thanksgiving for what our Lord had done for him, Simon took this opportunity, despite that fact that there was a warrant out for the arrest of the guest of honor, to serve a private meal.

I believe we can understand how Simon Felt. His endless nights had been changed today. HE had gone from agony to ecstasy, from pain to praise, from hell to hope. Yeah, and where ever you have been with Jesus there will be a desire to do something to please Him after He has lifted you from the miry clay of defeat and destruction.

Here we find Martha served, Lazarus fellowship ed and Mary gave.

The first element of worship is in the form of service. Martha did what she was most comfortable with. LEt whatever you can do for Christ speak for you. -- Overwhelmed looking at others -- now full of joy and love for Jesus -- She expressed that love in service for Jesus.

The Second element of worship is fellowship with Jesus. Lazarus was not only dead but stinking. Lazarus drew no attention to himself content to fellowship with Jesus.

Mary expresses all that was in her heart.

When Mary worshipped the external atmosphere modeled the internal atmosphere of the heart. That is what corporate worship is when we fill the room with the praise that is in our heart.
