Introduction

Hello everyone! How is Recall?
Stoked that you all are here! So, I am assuming that you guys are here because you desire to share the gospel with other’s which is amazing!Jesus call’s us to make disciples
Matthew 28:18–20 ESV
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-
The Mission of the Church is to make Christ known!
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 ESV
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
The desire to share the gospel is natural for you as Christian’s which you should be encouraged by this! You want people to know Jesus Amen!
Here is the thing…There is no cookie cutter formula. Evangelism is ambiguous, it varies between different contexts, stages of life, age and though that may sounds scary, be ENCOURAGED!
Be encouraged knowing...
There are so many way’s to share your faith
Romans 1:16 ESV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
That the gospel is (share Roman’s passage) the power of God, not your own.

Essential Truth’s to Bridging the Gospel

The Gospel is the message of Salvation: Thus means, people are going to be judged by God for their Sin.
Hell is the reality of those who are apart from Christ
If you have Jesus, this reality should drive us to want to see people in heaven with us one day!
Life is the Biggest Motivator that drives us to Share the Gospel with Other’s!
Lets look at : Parable of the Sower
Mark 4:3–8 ESV
“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had no depth of soil. And when the sun rose, it was scorched, and since it had no root, it withered away. Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain. And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”
The Gospel will be HEARD
The Sower’s Job was to Sow
The Christian’s job is Evangelism- Just by doing his job He/She is glorifying God by fulfilling what was asked of Him.
The Gospel will be REJECTED.
Even Jesus experienced this when talking to the Rich Young Ruler
(Share )
Matthew 19:20–22 ESV
The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
Matthew 19:
Jesus experienced first hand a rejection to the good news of salvation.
Know that you do not fail at your job when people reject the gospel when you share for the gospel is the power of God not the power of you.
Know that even when the gospel you share is rejected, God is still working!
The Gospel will be ACCEPTED
Lets look at when Jesus engages the woman at the wall.
Starts a conversation about Water...
John 4:13–15 ESV
Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”
John 4:13-
Confront’s her sin- at least discusses it with her
John 4:25–26 ESV
The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”
John 4:25
Yet, says it spite of your sin know that your Messiah is here and she went and told everyone about him.
Lastly, this leads into this last truth. All you need is ONE. Is there ONE person who you know does not know Christ. There is the biggest misconception that you must be trying to share it with everyone! That is not the case, faithfulness in evangelism is putting all your effort into sharing the gospel which is not measure by how many people. You know why? Because all it takes is ONE.
It is a snowball effect.
The woman at the well is an example of this.
John 4:39 ESV
Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.”
John 4:

Character Bridge

Okay, now that we have established essential truth’s that you must have in order for you to stay faithful to your calling to Evangelize you also need a godly character.
Here is the simply reality, we as Christian’s need to be people person’s.
The Christian’s call to Love
Hospitality-Inviting people into your life and personal space
Humility/Kindness-Being willing to enter into different spaces and contexts, not being proud or thinking yourself better but genuinely caring for those who are not only alike but different.
Why do you think Racism is such a wicked thing?
Service-Helping other’s and giving your time up.- We live in such a busy culture and do you want to know how to gain people’s trust? Start giving them your time when they need help or just need to be with someone!
Why is this important?
Hypocrisy is the evangelistic killer.
Spewing out Gospel information without personal conviction is just knowledge without power.
If your life matches with what you believe most often times then not, you don't even have to bring up Jesus in a conversation first people will ask you!
(Share testimony sharing as a new believer) which leads me to how to actually engage in conversation.

Crossing the Bridge

Look we all know that everyone is wired differently. We all have different interest’s, struggles, experiences, and personalities that make us who we are as individual’s.
Interests/Dislikes: I started that gospel opportunity through my interest in tattoo’s. I used that as a conversation starter and used it to eventually lead into a spiritual question.
Hobbies/Sports: The awesome thing about sports is that you are literally forced into getting to know people, which you can probably assume that not all of them are believers. This can be a great bridge to engage with other people and be bold enough to ask questions.
Experiences: Huge conversation starters and trust building depends upon a lot of shared experiences. People tend to open up about themselves when you can relate to their certain experiences in life. Example: People who struggled with addiction in the past can relate to people who struggle with it in the present and help them.
Now that you have engaged in conversation like normal human beings and people are more comfortable with you then you can start asking purposeful questions about them! Here are a few principles:
Principle 1: More about THEM less about YOU.
It is easy to give our own opinions but if we truly want to get into the gospel we have to be willing to listen to people because they are worth being heard not critiqued.
Principle 2: Ask—What do you think questions?
Examples: Why do you think that is right?
What do you think about Christianity or religion?
What do you believe in?
What is your view on ___?
Asking these types of questions allow for whoever you're engaging with to talk first and you listen, while also giving you a context as to why they believe in certain things.
Principle 3: Offer Answer’s!
Be thankful that the gospel speaks into all areas of life. It provide’s healing to the broken and God has given you the opportunity to present that healing message. There is an article on desiring God that lists 5 categories that the majority of people struggle with and more often times in your life when you are evangelizing you will encounter these problems with people.
Security: God gives us a security in our lives because Him being all powerful, provides for you and loves and cares for you and has a plan for your life.
Identity: We are in Jesus our Savior forever. He has clothed us in His righteousness and I am right with God.
Meaning: Life has a purpose: To glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We were created to love and be loved by Him. The beautiful and complex world we live in was created to display God’s awesome goodness.
Suffering: Jesus suffered so that in the end, we wont have to suffer any longer. (Isaiah 53)
Satisfaction: - Jesus satisfies our every need. He is all we need.
