From the depths of your heart
what does the LORD require....
that we live holy,
obey him
obey the commandments
love the LORD thy God and choose life over death
what are the consequences-conflict in the church-in the world-blessings and curses-
Hell
death
the wages of sin is death
who are some biblical figures-
Job-resisted evil and remained faithful
Abraham-resisted evil and followed Yahweh
The three Hebrew boys resisted to the point of torture, but God showed up.
Men who were guided by “the world” and blinded by their own flesh -turned from the commandments and tasted hell. They were not willing to change.
examples-the rich man in the parable of Lazurus and father Abraham
The man who asked Jesus -if he could follow him, but first go home and have his last dinner with his family
The man who was told give up all your wealth
