Exodus 6:6–8 AV
6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: 7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.
Exodus
Exodus 6:6 AV
6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
Burden of the Egyptians
Burden of the Egyptians
The burden of the Egyptians was slavery.
This slavery was bondage, they had no freedom.
Bondage
I Will redeem you with a stretched out arm. Something that defies odds a miraculous event.
I will redeem you (save and deliver).
A stretched out arm means that this deliverance would be done with power.
It would be a miraculous event, a miracle is something that defies odds, that goes beyond the natural explanation of things.
Egypt in biblical language has always been a type of the world.
Living in Egypt signifies living in a state of bondage.
Sin is bondage, it holds individuals captive. Sin is like chains and fetters.
Pharoah is symbolic of Satan and how he desires to hold individuals against their will. He uses sin as a way to keep people bound.
Things that bound us:
Sin
Unbelief/Doubt
Guilt/Shame
Fear - fear of man, fear of authority, doubt/unbelief, dread, worry, anxiety, fear the worst will happen, fear of illness,
Anger - hatred, malice, rage, temper, cursing, vengeance, retaliation, being judgemental, being critical, anger towards women, anger towards men, anger towards mother or father, anger towards authority, anger towards God.
Abandonment - desertion, divorce, rejection, neglect, victimization, blocked intimacy, not valuing people, burning bridges, isolation, loneliness, self pity.
Lying
Financial lack
Addictions
Sensuality
Depression
Grief
Mental instability - depression, tormenting thoughts, mental illness
Pride
Procrastination
Sickness
Mindsets (Depression)
During the time of this text, practically all of the Israelites had been bound pretty much all of their life. They never knew what freedom was.
Somebody this morning you been living a life without freedom. A life outside of the parameters of God.
MAIN POINT: God made a way for the Israelites to be delivered out of the bounds of slavery.
God has provided a way for mankind to be delivered in this present evil world.
Galatians 1:3–5 AV
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
God has provided you a way to be delivered from sin.
God has made a way for you to be delivered from anything that has or tries to bound you.
The only requirement for the Israelites was that they simply needed to believe in the LORD and obey.
Gal 1:
Galatians 1:3–5 AV
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
God wants to make you his inheritance, he wants to make you his prize possession. Good things happen to those who belong to God.
Deuteronomy 4:20 AV
20 But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
Not only will God make you an inheritance, God will also give you an inheritance. That’s why some of us can be free of fear because we know and realize we belong to God and that He is our portion. If God is my portion and if everything belongs to God then I believe that everything that God has is available to me.
Not only will God make you an inheritance, God will also give you an inheritance. That’s why some of us can be free of fear because we know and realize we belong to God and that He is our portion. If God is my portion and if everything belongs to God then I believe that everything that God has is available to me.
1 John 2
1 John 2:15–17 AV
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Deliverance Has Come!
