GRACE is and does
Luke 19:1-10 NASB[1] He entered Jericho and was passing through. [2] And there was a man called by the name of Zaccheus; he was a chief tax collector and he was rich. [3] Zaccheus was trying to see who Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. [4] So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way. [5] When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house." [6] And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly. [7] When they saw it, they all began to grumble, saying, "He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner." [8] Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much." [9] And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham. [10] For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
Whats is GRACE and what DOES grace do
GRACE is the unmerited , unearned favor of GOD
GRACE does – JESUS IS GRACE IN ACTION
John 1:15-17 NASB[15] John testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'" [16] For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. [17] For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:1-8 NASB[1] And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, [2] in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. [3] Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. [4] But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, [5] even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ ( by grace you have been saved), [6] and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, [7] so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. [8] For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; [9] not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
GRACE CAME WHILE YOU WERE STILL SINNING
Colossians 2:13-14 NASB[13] When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, [14] having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
John 6:28-29,33-35 NASB[28] Therefore they said to Him, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?" [29] Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." [33] For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world." [34] Then they said to Him, "Lord, always give us this bread." [35] Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.
LAZARUS-GRACE STORY
John 11:38-44 NASB[38] So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying against it. [39] Jesus said, "Remove the stone." Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days." [40] Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?" [41] So they removed the stone. Then Jesus raised His eyes, and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. [42] I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me." [43] When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth." [44] The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."
WHAT DID LAZARUS DO TO DESERVE TO BE BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE?
Mercy giving you less than what you deserve-5 LICKS -2 ,5 YEARS -3, PUNISHMENT REDUCED
Justice is giving you what you deserve-GIVING YOU EXACTLY WHAT YOU DESERVE
Grace is giving you what you don’t deserve-IS LOVING WHO YOU REALLY ARE-HE LOVES US, NOT OUR WRONG ACTIONS, WORDS, THOUGHTS,
Romans 5:19-21 NASB[19] For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. [20] The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, [21] so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Matthew 27:15-17 NASB[15] Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release for the people any one prisoner whom they wanted. [16] At that time they were holding a notorious prisoner, called Barabbas. [17] So when the people gathered together, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release for you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?"
Barabbas-WAS A NORORIOUS MAN,leader of a mob, Murderer, bad man, he deserved the cross-
JESUS –WHAT HAD HE DONE ? what were they condemning him for ? what actions ?
Matthew 27:21-22 NASB[21] But the governor said to them, "Which of the two do you want me to release for you?" And they said, "Barabbas." [22] Pilate said to them, "Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?" They all said, "Crucify Him!"
