2 Samuel 22:47 NKJV
47 “The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation!
Giving
Proverbs 3:9–10 NKJV
9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
Matthew 6:19–21 NKJV
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

1) The Lord Jesus said where my treasure is there your heart is also.

When I was in Bible College the school lawyer came to talk about money. one of the things he had us do is pull out of our check-book register and determine what we spent our money on and explained to us that was a good indication of where our heart is.
I would do that. no one caries a checkbook anymore and I don't want to loose you to Facebook or whatever other social media your bag is.
there is no disputing that Jesus is right, (imagine that) where ever my tresure is there my heart is also.
its hard for me to talk about giving to the the Lord. its not because I dot believe in giving to the Lord or the work of the Lord on the contrary I believe in it!
not so that “ I can be blessed with material things” but because the Lord has blessed me.
one of the reasons that people have a hard tine with tithing is because you messing with an idol.
Matthew 6:24 NKJV
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

2. I Honor the Lord with my first fruits

Proverbs 3:9 NKJV
9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
At the heart of it all is Honoring God for what he’s given you. because it all came from Him in the First place
Psalm 50:10–12 NKJV
10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine. 12 “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.

3. Honoring the Lord supports earthly Ministry.

Malachi 3:10 NKJV
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.
1 Timothy 5:17 NKJV
17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.
