Know The Tricks of the Enemy

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

The devil wins in this age by setting up divisions among us. The easiest way to conquer a house is to divide it.
To counter this, God wants to actively seek common ground with each other. Find things we can agree upon and dwell there.
Along with this we should move with the same love. No matter who that person is, or what they have done, the love Jesus should be one thing that brings the body of Christ together on any matter in a spirit of Love.
Looking at the times, knowing a divided house can't stand, let's take a view of the world through the lens of this concept:
1) We have a President that came in the door under division, discrimination against Latinos and backed by white nationalists. Look at how much the moral compass has diminished since he has taken office.
2) Divorce normally happens when someone decides to go their own way. They don't seek a union, no longer want to be of one mind. The worst will be unfaithful with other people or finances during private time alone.
3) The third is toward God, people think they know about life... much more than even God does... they will go forward to even say they know more righteous living than the people in Church do.
Saints, we need to when you find yourself disagreeing with the majority of good people and God's Word, you need to check yourself.
**Notice how I didn't just say people!! The people around you could be wrong and outside of God's will and His Word.
We have entire communities outside of the arch of protection. Several religions that operate on Earth and some of them don't believe in heaven. Some believe in reincarnation. Some company is no good company to have over to your house if the guest doesn't place Gods rules first.

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

We do everything in this country for self. How can I make myself happy. What is in it for me.
Look at the results?
We have children that have grown farther and farther away from God, His purpose and His Church. When I say children, I’m not just talking about Children of today alone, we now have five generations or better in the African American community where entire families have grown away from the Church.
Not only this, but we look down on other people and place those whom are struggling beneath us.
Sadly, we turn gossip and innuendo into a caste system. Once we hear something negative about a person we permanently place people below us.
Saints, those are the people we have been sent to help. When we help the lowest of those around us it is like are doing so directly for Christ.
It takes taking the low road to catch a highminded person and plant seeds for the Kingdom of God so that souls can be saved. There are two take away(s) from this passage.
Our witness is completely tainted when we can’t control ourselves with anger. We are the ones that are supposed to have it together… we lose people when we lose our cool. People may not know the Word, but they do know right from wrong. When we get upset argue and fight, we are pushing people out the door. At the end of the day, all people know they should come to God when they need help.
Secondly, we can’t be outwardly prideful… this goes in lock step with the first takeaway. If God has blessed you, the focus should be on God - not you. This literally takes the achievements God has allowed you make. The blessings that He gives you and spins them into something used by the enemy to push people away from God. If someone is afraid to come to your Church because they don’t have the clothes - we have missed the mark and have fallen short of where God wants us to be.

4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

In fact, we should not be paying attention ourselves. We should be looking at how can we be a blessing to others. That doesn’t mean we always respond with when a brother or sister comes to Church with worn out clothes we should run to the store and buy them… sometimes, it’s being there for that person so they aren’t alone as they are going through. People won’t allow you to help them until they trust you.
It takes the low road to catch prideful people.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Saints, this is the manner of Christ!!
Saints, this should be our mannerisms!!
The Church grows, we grow as Christians when we operate under God’s pretenses. We can achieve many things, but any achievement that disregards God is futile at best. God always achieves what He intends (He will go around you if necessary). Any gift you have been given takes God-given resources, especially if the gift has eternal value.
It doesn’t matter if it is accumulation of wealth, political power, technological advancements, great learning, powerful military, acts of courage, spiritual achievements. They should all pale in interest when it comes to God and His purpose.
Human achievement is nothing to hang your hat on. God can thwart human achievements at any time:

3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.

8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

So what do we do with all of these things, Rev Howard?
The answer is simple, in all of our ways acknowledge God and He shall direct our paths.
And He sent His son Jesus.

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Jesus came humbly into a world where he was utterly rejected, questioned, betrayed and eventually killed without cause.
Everything he did, he made reference to the Father. All the praises he gave were to the Father. Any accomplishment made, soul healed or even raised from the dead… praise was given the the Father. This is the mind and manner we need to operate in this dying world that does not like Christians.
Newsflash, the world has never liked Christians. We need to be more mature to know how we are supposed to act and save the souls that we can.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

He humbled himself… having all the power of the One that spoke the entire Earth and Heaven into existence. He humbled himself and died on the Cross. He could have called 10,000 angels to come and get him. Yet He died there for you and me. And now:

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Notice how is doesn’t say some knees… the Word says every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess.
This means the Buddhist, the Muslim, the Hindu, the Mormon, soothsayers, atheists… they all will be judged and give an account to God.
Saints, do not doubt that God’s eyes are everywhere and He sees everything. It is impossible to fool God.
