How did the Lord use the sermon on Sunday in your life?
Scott began the sermon talking about the “center holding”. He discussed how people are fearful. What are some of the worldviews that people hold too, and place their confidence in? (Nihilism, Liberalism, Existentialism, Atheism, Politics, Economics )
If someone where to ask you what the gospel is, what would you tell them?
To whom does the gospel belong to, and what are we to do with it? () GOD!
- How is the gospel the power of God? (Kingdom view of the gospel)
We are to embrace the Gospel, which is the power of God, without shame. What does that mean?
How does the world treat someone who actively lives and walks out the gospel? () How does a kingdom minded person walk before God () how is this reflected in the world? ()
How does the gospel, reflect the character of God, as the righteousness of God? (It is covenantal, there is a price that is paid, sin is punished in someone else.)
How does this lead us to worship? (Unless the Father, had not, in love sent His Son to pay the penalty for our sin, we would not know God, and be a part of His kingdom.)
How is the the Gospel to be believed? () - From faith, for faith. () NO PLAN B
So in light of the gospel how are we to live? (The Righteous shall live by faith. ) What is the context? (read )
What are we to do with this good news of the Kingdom of God? () - Proclaim the truth and the reality of the Kingdom of God to all nations.
