what does this mean? He gives life as life is meant to be

What does it mean to connect with Him?

To connect with Jesus you need to have a personal relationship with Him.

To enjoy salvation and abundant life, you have to be one of Jesus’ Sheep - you have to be His, and you have to know Him personally!

“the sheep hear his voice”

“he calls them by name” v3

And to have a personal relationship with Him, you have to know who HE is and Who YOU ARE - “I know my own, and my own know me”

Who is Jesus?

He is the Good Shepherd

If you want salvation, you must walk through

What does this mean?

He leads His sheep v4

Protects His sheep “thieves and robber” “wolves”

Above all “lays down his life for the sheep” vv11 & 15

willingly: out of love v18 No one takes it from me...

Who are you?

The sheep

Sheep are not smart

Don’t know how to protect themselves

are helpless without the shepherd

Depend on Him for life food and guidance

So understand that a personal relationship with Jesus means understanding that:

He is the shepherd

He sets the boundaries

He guides

He protects

He ALONE saves

And he Does it ALL BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU

How do you connect with Him?

Believe in Him

That HE is the Good Shepherd and the Door

Listen to Him

read His Word/pray/ Trust Him “listen to my voice” v16

Go to Him

pray/worship “the sheep follow him”

Be a part of the flock

Church - one flock, one shepherd, so get involved with the other sheep!
