Is Jesus God or is Jesus human?

Answer:

Jesus is both fully God & fully human.

Key thought: Even as a child, Jesus wanted to do his Father’s Plan

How does Jesus, as a child, prove to us that he is both God and human?

(1) Jesus had a special understanding of the Bible -
Luke 2:46–47 KJV 1900
And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
(2) Jesus had a mother and father on this earth -
Luke 2:48 KJV 1900
And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
(3) Jesus understood he was to be doing His True, Heavenly Father’s business -
Luke 2:49 KJV 1900
And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
(4) Jesus lived obediently to his earthly mother & father -
Luke 2:51 KJV 1900
And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
(5) Jesus had to grow -
Luke 2:52 KJV 1900
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

Why is Jesus being both God and human important?

Why is Jesus being both God and human important?
(1) this matters because it shows us that the true God has become a man
(2) this matters because it shows us that the true God understands what it is like to be human
(3) this matters because it shows us that One Person did live a perfect life without sin
(4) this matters because it shows us that Jesus came to die so our sins could be forgiven
(5) this matters because it shows us who have believed in Jesus how we can live by God’s plan for us

What does this mean for me?

(1) You must accept Jesus Christ as the only Perfect One who died so your sins could be forgiven.
(2) Obey your earthly parents: Because Jesus obeyed, those who have Jesus are able to obey their earthly parents like he did.
