The Joy it Brings to Others (v. 10, 15-16)
The Philippians gift was a surprising source of joy for Paul in his situation.
The gift meant was a reminder that God was continuing to work through his previous labor.
The gift caused Paul to give thanks to the Lord for their partnership.
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
, “ thank my God upon every remembrance of you...”

The source of all generosity is God.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Generosity is rooted in confidence of God’s providential care and provision.
The gift from the Philippians was fragrant offering and acceptable sacrifice in the sight of God.
The Lord loves to rejoice in the midst of His people.
The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Our generosity is evidence of both trust in Him and imitation of his nature.

Fruit increasing in our account! There are eternal rewards for generosity. The picture is an accounting term of compounding interest.
The Promise of God’s provision for our needs.
Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over—will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
This promise is not based on greed (giving in order to get), but gratefulness (giving in order to praise God).
You can NOT outgive God. (Mal. 3:10)
THE CYCLE OF JOY (Fruit Abounding To Your Account)
6 Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work. 9 As it is written: He scattered; He gave to the poor; His righteousness endures forever. 10 Now the One who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many acts of thanksgiving to God. 13 They will glorify God for your obedience to the confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with others through the proof provided by this service. 14 And they will have deep affection for you in their prayers on your behalf because of the surpassing grace of God in you.
