What is stewardship anyway?
Stewardship literally, from the greek, means “house-law”: oikos(house) and nomos(law) - oikonomos. The verses below demonstrate the semantic range its used in, such as:
Manager of a household or estate, house steward, manager, public treasure, one who is entrusted with management in connection with transcendent matters, administrator, program of instruction, training, arrangement, order, plan, responsibility of management.
Adam:
Stewardship started in the beginning with God making Adam from the dust of the ground, breathing life into his nostril, and placing him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep(maintain) it. ;
Joseph:
He became the house manager of all Potiphar had. Even while he was in prison he became the jail manager to the keeper of the prison and then administrator over Egypt and second in command. (; ; )
Daniel:
Daniel became a top administrator in Babylon ()
