Introduction

I want to encourage you today to “Get Your House In Order.”

“Get Your House In Order.”

There are a few things that I have discovered about Death!

First, Death is an appointment that must be kept!

Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes 3:1–2 KJV 1900

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

Hebrews 9:27 KJV 1900

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Second, Death don't discriminate!

It affects air family, every life in some shape form or fashion. Rich, poor, young and old.

It isn't that God decided to choose your family to pick on.

Here in the text the scripture tells us that in those days Hezekiah was sick. Why you ask was Hezekiah chosen to die?

He’s the King - His family needs him, His country needs him.

He started reigning at Twenty Five Years of Age and reigned 29 years.

He did that which was right in the sight of the Lord.

He removed the high places and brake the images.

He trusted in the Lord

He held fast to the Lord and did not cease to follow Him.

He kept the commands of the Lord.

The Lord was with him and he was successful in whatever he undertook.

He stood up against the enemies of the Lord

Hezekiah had so much going for him and yet death found him.

Why Him? Why Her?

Job 14:1 KJV 1900

1 Man that is born of a woman Is of few days, and full of trouble.

Since we know that theres a time to die and we know it could knock on our door, the reasonable response is to be prepared.

In other words, “Get Your House In Order.”

I decided to look that up from a financial perspective and google gave me 8 steps to take to accomplish this. I just want to share a few with you today if you don’t mind!

Evaluate Your Spending Habits

Where are you spending your time?

Are you spending it with the right people, doing the right things and for the right purpose.

What bad habits have you been spending your time participating in that has your house all out of order?

Take Stock of Your Lifestyle

Are you spending time examining and working on you instead of everybody else?

Sweep around your own front door before you try to sweep around mine

Fund Your Retirement Plan

I don't know about you but I serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

He has already promised me A Place, A Crown and an Inheritance.

In my fathers house are many mansions
