We *are* in the last days.
See
it is more difficult to live for God now than it has ever been.
I contend, the reason is because of the Golden Cup
THIS IS AN UNUSUAL TIME! Why do we meet at 8 on saturdays? We live in the last days. Why do we eat together? We live in the last days.
Unusual Times call for Unusual Measures!
It’s full abominations, and the filthiness of her fornication
The earth is drunk on with wine of her fornication
She sits on many waters.
The Golden Cup is the enemy’s delivery system of the things he wants in your head and life.
Why does the enemy want to put things in our heads?
Romans 8:5 NKJV
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
you fulfill the lust of the flesh,
you’re under the law,
you cannot please God,
the requirement of the law is *not* fulfilled in you therefore there *is* condemnation,
you’re cut off from the fruits,
you’re cut off from the gifts,
you cannot receive revelation from the Word,
your prayers don’t “avail” very much.
Psalm 1:1–2 NKJV
1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.
Psalm
2 Timothy 3:1–7 NKJV
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:1
2 Corinthians 6:14–18 NKJV
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” 17 Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” 18 “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
2 Corinthians 6:
Revelation 18:4–5 NKJV
4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Revelation 18:
Why is it so vital that we don’t allow ourselves to be close to unbelievers? One word: influence. You are influenced by those you are close to.
What’s another phrase for being drunk? Being “under the influence.”
The enemy wants his people in your life.
You are influenced by the people you let in your head.
eve’s mistake was listening. she couldn’t have been influenced if she didn’t listen.
THE WHOLE STRATEGY IS ABOUT PEOPLE! The enemy wants worldly people in your head!
She’s drunk on the blood of the saints, meaning it’s malicious! This is not accidental!!!
Two Sides:
We simply cannot allow them in our heads.
being close to them allows them in our head
time = close. no way around that.
eve’s mistake was listening. she couldn’t have been influenced if she didn’t listen.
it’s hard enough serving God while being faithful to church!
We have a responsibility to them.
THEY’RE GOING TO HELL!!!
Instead of seeking to warn them, we’re admiring them?!
Do the worldly people in your life feel convicted around you? Why not?
Action,
1) get tough.
What’d Jesus say? Render to her just as she rendered to you. The world maliciously hates the Jesus in you. Even if they’re people you love, they do NOT want you making them feel bad.
2) Get the world, and the things of the world, out.
Unfollow! Don’t watch! Don’t listen! Don’t open your head to them!
Please, please understand… THE ENEMY WANTS IN YOUR HEAD!
What do you expect if your life is full of unGodly people?
What other outcome *could* there be?
3) It’s not enough to get the world out.
3)
every person in this room has been given an incredible gift. i’m not in the least bit sympathetic to your cries of loneliness or you saying you don’t have any Godly friends. YOU’RE SITTING ON A TREASURE TROVE OF THEM!
Is this easy? No.
Is living for God easy though? No. And it’s harder than it’s ever been.
Do you want to love the world? Do you want to have a hard, frustrating walk with God? Do you want to live in misery and defeat?
A Christian full of joy, love, encouragement, and faith WILL affect those around them. The problem is, you’re letting them rob you of those things.
