Your image in the world

In the modern age of 2020 one of the most important things that a person holds on to is their image. It is one of the most important thing to the average Young Adult. Just look at the Average time it takes for us to get ready for the day.
YouGov did a survey to show the average time it takes for a young adult to get ready in the world today.
The majority of us (56%) take any time between 11 and 30 minutes getting ready
Only 2% take less than 5 minutes and 3% over an hour
More women than men take longer to get ready with 21% men taking over 30 minutes and 38% women
Perhaps this is because 16% of women wear make-up every day and 32% most days
In contrast 15% of women never wear make-up and 33% only on special occasions
15% educated up to high school and 9% of college graduates take 10 minutes or less but 4% of graduates take over an hour – this is only 2% for high school or less
The one thing that can gather from this is that most young people spend some time on getting ready before they go to school or work. In the end of the article it sum it up with say that most young adult spend about 30% of their week just getting ready for the day.
That is just getting dressed that doesn't count all the changes that we make to our personalities to make our friends like us.
How we treat our attitudes towards some people. We take people that we care about and try everything to have a good image. while we take people we don't like and try and give them a image of leave me alone.

Your Image Affects Your Witness

2 Corinthians 4:4 CSB
In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
This verse becomes more true to us than we know. The world has become good at telling us any reason to not to focus on Christ. Because we strive so hard to achieve that sense of acceptance from the world our witness gets torn away and get destroyed.
We have to watch out for that when we go about our lives as Christians. we have to decide what kind of Christians we want to be. Do you want to be that Sunday christian that shows up to church on church days and is a worldly person every other day of the week.
Do you want to show christ every day of the week.
Most of us choose the first one and we don’t even realize the affect that it has. We rather Swear, Drink, Have Sex, Do Drugs,Skip church, Pretend we don’t know each other at school.
Its funny we can come to church and have fun together and say we love God together, but when it comes to our friends seeing us we choose to pretend that other person doesn’t exist.
As young adults we say the worse thing we hate is a hypocrite, but instead we act like one . we have to let go of ourselves and realize that we are affected what God looks like to other people.

God’s Images Is Ours

Genesis 1:26–27 CSB
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.” So God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female.
We all know this passage but how many times have you thought about that it is more than just Physical Appearance it. we as christian show the character of God in our image .
It is time to think what is it you want to be know for? We focused on the one person that we didn’t respect now we are going to take that person and focus on what is the image they see when we think see you and hear from you.
