Would you agree with the statement “there’s a way that things work?”
This projector is not just a box with a bunchj of screw
Tonight I am going to meddle in your life today. And when you find out what I am going to be speaking on some of you are going to get mad, some of you are going to think this way of thinking is outdated, but some of you are going to listen and it may change the whole trajectory of your life and keep you from a life of heartache and misery.
Tonight we are going to be talking about relationships. Your relationships are so important. You need relationships, God has made you fro what we might call community, but heres the kicker, you need the right type of relationships.
How many of you have seen a toxic relationship?
What was the outcome of that relationship?
Tell me about a time when you had a toxic friendship
i. Some people just don’t mix well
ii. What kind of negativity did it produce in your life?
Do you know that God cares about your relationships?
God cares about your relationships because He created us to be influences.
Sure you may not have the type of influence that your favorite You-tuber has, you may not have millions of followers on your Instagram
But something tells me that you may have more influence than you think
But others can influence you

Proverbs 27:17 ESV
17 Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Ecclesiastes 10:10 ESV
10 If the iron is blunt, and one does not sharpen the edge, he must use more strength, but wisdom helps one to succeed.
Do you have friends in your life that sharpen you or dull you?
Are they making you better?
Are they making you more Holy?
Are they fueling your passion for Jesus or are they dragging you down?
There is a way that things work, and there is a way that relationships work.
2 Cor 6:14
2 Corinthians 6:14–18 ESV
14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, 18 and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
Think of your relationships with people as a yoke.
SHOW PIC OF A YOKE- MUD
Behind the yoke is all that persons baggage that they are dragging, habits, values, goals in life, and most importantly who they are serving
Now the word of God says to not be yoked together with unbelievers...
Why do you think that it is speaking of this?
Ephesians 2:1–4 ESV
1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
Ephesians 2:
