Last week...

Our feed our minds through eye gates and ear gates.
We build our foundation off of what Jesus said.

The Difference between the Brain and the Mind

Your brain is part of the visible, tangible world of the body. Your mind is part of the invisible, transcendent world of thought, feeling, attitude, belief and imagination. The brain is the physical organ most associated with mind and consciousness, but the mind is not confined to the brain.

One of the premier nuero researches in the world Dr. Carolyn Leif talks about her journey by asking the question if the mind can heal the brain.
What she discovered is that the thoughts of our mind can create “trees” in our brain that can grow.
These trees create the way we think and react.
So what we allow in our life can actually create these trees that controls how we think.
“What are you thinking?”
One of the outcomes of Dr. Leafs research is that the mind can actually heal the mind.
What I have personally found is the how we think creates our theology, it affects how we perceive our relationship with God, if affects how we deal with life’s circumstances.

If you want to change your life you have to change the way you think.

We will stay the same until we learn to change the way we think.
Most people try to shame themselves into changing their behavior, but until they change the way we think we won’t change the behavior.
Proverbs 23:7 NKJV
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.
Proverbs 4:23 NLT
23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
What we think in our heart so will we be. So if we are thinking that we can’t then we won’t.
Our Father has created an amazing human body that can do amazing things. However, our body is limited by the way we think.

Think on These things...

Paul told us to think on...
What is true
What is honorable
What is right
What is pure
What is lovely
What is admirable
What is excellent
What is worthy of praise
Put into practice what you have learned
Then PEACE will be upon you.
When you get your thinking right, you discover peace.
