Recap from last week:
Our mission is Discipleship. How do we as a local body plan on fulfilling that mission?
is through church planting. We believe church planting is a effective way to reach out and make disciples. We want to plant a church on every corner in Saginaw. What does that mean? It means we need to be constantly raising up teams to go out and plant. We need A) Musicians B) Worship Leaders C) 5 Fold ministry D)Prayer Teams E) Children’s team F) Ushers, Greeters, Security.
There will always be room for you here. We need you! We want to help you fulfill whatever passion that God has given for you to fulfill.

2) Is small groups. Weather its a prayer meeting in your home, Bible study at your place of work, a devotional at the gym or at the local coffee shop. We want to plant small groups all over. If God is tugging on your heart to start a group please come and see me. Don’t worry if you don’t know how or have never done it before we will train you.
3) another way is through life coaching or one on one discipleship. Where we connect on purpose for the sake of helping each other with our relationship with God. We are currently putting a system to put in place to achieve this.
So lets recap on last weeks message:
Disciple is someone who looks, talks, loves, thinks, walks like Jesus.

That we are predestined to be conformed into the image of His son. Reality in the spirit we look just like our Father in heaven. We have not been born again.
How does that happen?
by spending quality time with Him
And making Him our number one pursuit - 2 books I would recommend is Killing Kryptonite: By John Bevere and Counterfeit Gods by Tim Keller
Hearing His Voice
Today I want to focus on hearing His voice.
Everything in the kingdom depends upon weather or not we hear the word of God. The word “hear” is one of the most important words in the Bible.
9 “He who has ears, let him hear.”
Matt 13
He’s talking about a hearing that comes from the Spirit.
We have two kinds of knowledge. Knowledge that comes through our 5 physical senses. and knowledge that comes from God by revelation.
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
God spoke to me to merry my wife, move to Saginaw and buy the house we currently live in,
See if your trying to pick up AM radio waves you have to tune your radio the AM station. If your trying to get AM radio waves on a FM station your going to miss the message. If we are trying to tune into what God is saying with the natural man we are going to miss it. Natural man is comprised of the 5 physical senses.
11 Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.
Matthew 13:15
It says why it has not been granted in verse 15
15 For the heart of this people has become dull, With their ears they scarcely hear, And they have closed their eyes, Otherwise they would see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, And understand with their heart and return, And I would heal them.’
to thicken, i.e. (by impl.) to fatten (fig. stupefy or render callous):—wax gross.
be unable to understand, formally, become calloused of heart
A callus is an area of thickened skin that forms as a response to repeated friction, pressure, or other irritation.

Callus skin is desensitized. Its also rough to the touch.
MANY people smoke day after day, month after month, year after year and all of a sudden their ability to breathe is impacted and the lungs become hard. A lung is supposed to be soft and pliable but when a person smokes like that, their lungs become hard and the air can’t penetrate them. You can read the Bible until you are blue in the face, but if it is being read by a hard heart, the Spirit won’t penetrate it.
