Give me a drink
Give me a drink
7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”
Christ was inviting her into fellowship
who was this woman?
who was this woman?
she was a Samaritan who the Jews didn’t asociate with
God doesn’t care about your past or what others think he wanted to save her life just like he wants to save yours
He didn’t care about the rules he cared about the person.
28 Then he said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
she was shocked that he would ask a none Jew for a drink. at this point the disciples were gone to get food.
10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
a lot of the time we don’t realize how important these times we have with Jesus. and when they are gone they don’t come back.
Now she was starting to realize she was thirsty, but she was thirsty all along but didn’t know it.
jhn 4:11-1
11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?
12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,
14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”
There is a need for God’s people to realize what state they are in before help can be give.

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
you will need for help before it is given, God never forces himself on anyone
matt 14:29-
29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
once you accept him into your life don’t bother hiding anything.
16 Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
17 The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’
Jesus knew all areas of her life and he was willing to help her but she needed to honest.
