Depravity… []
This concept we saw in...
Romans 1:28 CSB
And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.
…thus depraved = corrupt, reprobate, sinful, worthless.
We see this truth regarding our condition throughout the Bible. Here’s what Paul reminds the Christians in Rome about depravity...
EVERYONE (9-10)
ALL without exception are impacted by sin!
Ecclesiastes 7:20 CSB
There is certainly no one righteous on the earth who does good and never sins.
Ecclesiastes

There is no one who does good, not even one.
Psalm 53:1–3 CSB
The fool says in his heart, “There’s no God.” They are corrupt, and they do vile deeds. There is no one who does good. Total! Total depravity...
…in humanity = the total world.
…in a person = the totality of us.
Isaiah 53:5–6 CSB
But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds. We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished him for the iniquity of us all.
