ME: Intro

It probably comes as no surprise to hear that I am a big fan of preaching through the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse
This is referred to as expository preaching
As says;
2 Timothy 3:16 ESV
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2 Timothy 2:14–15 ESV
Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
Because I believe this to be true, I seek to do my best at rightly handling God’s Word
Or again, as Paul writes in ;
2 Timothy 2:15 ESV
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
Doing this forces us to be exposed to some of the dustier parts of our Bibles
The parts of the Bible that are kind of tough passages
Really the entire second half of Daniel is one of those parts
But this morning, we are specifically coming to
A tough chapter where God allows Daniel to see more by revealing a vision to Daniel
God allows Daniel to see more by revealing visions to Daniel
A vision that might have looked something like this, a charging ram
(Ram from Zootopia)
Or may have included a battle cry from a goat like this;
(Video clip of a goat yelling like a human)
As we already began to see last week,
The visions God gave Daniel have some weird stuff in them
So as we ready ourselves to continue our worship of God by
Growing in Christ-likeness
I’d like to invite you to join me in prayer

WE: God Shows Us (vs. 1-14)

As you may remember chapters 2-7 were all originally written in Aramaic
Chapter 8 returns to Hebrew, the primary language of the OT
and the language of Israel
Which is appropriate because the remaining chapters deal with the future of Israel
The visions in this chapter are given some explanation
But there are some other things that are not quite as clear
And like-minded Christians have proposed a variety of assumptions
Therefore, we must likewise approach some of the aspects that aren’t so clear with a humble conviction
What we can all agree on though, is the continued testimony of God’s sovereignty
God has given us special revelation
We can fear less because we can see more
Why are we able to see more?
Because God Shows Us
Follow along with me in where we see that God Shows Us
Daniel 8:1–14 ESV
In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first. And I saw in the vision; and when I saw, I was in Susa the citadel, which is in the province of Elam. And I saw in the vision, and I was at the Ulai canal. I raised my eyes and saw, and behold, a ram standing on the bank of the canal. It had two horns, and both horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last. I saw the ram charging westward and northward and southward. No beast could stand before him, and there was no one who could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great. As I was considering, behold, a male goat came from the west across the face of the whole earth, without touching the ground. And the goat had a conspicuous horn between his eyes. He came to the ram with the two horns, which I had seen standing on the bank of the canal, and he ran at him in his powerful wrath. I saw him come close to the ram, and he was enraged against him and struck the ram and broke his two horns. And the ram had no power to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled on him. And there was no one who could rescue the ram from his power. Then the goat became exceedingly great, but when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven. Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land. It grew great, even to the host of heaven. And some of the host and some of the stars it threw down to the ground and trampled on them. It became great, even as great as the Prince of the host. And the regular burnt offering was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown. And a host will be given over to it together with the regular burnt offering because of transgression, and it will throw truth to the ground, and it will act and prosper. Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, “For how long is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled underfoot?” And he said to me, “For 2,300 evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state.”
At the start of chapter 7, we were told Daniel’s dream took place during the first year of the reign of Belshazzar
So chapter 8 is occurring during the third year of his reign
means this chapter takes place 2 years after chapter 7
But still sometime between Chapters 4 and 5
Likely around 550BC
Daniel is still in Babylonian captivity
And there are some things that are similar from chapter 7 that we also see in chapter 8
Specifically, what some of the beasts from chapter 7 represent
Specifically, what some of the beasts from chapter 7 represent
The Medo-Persians and the Greeks
Here in chapter 8, they are given more attention and explanation
But like chapter 7, Daniel is having an apocalyptic vision
Which is hard for us to completely comprehend
We are reading what he saw in a book
He is watching the live version in an IMAX theater!
This time his vision involves a ram and a goat
And from this vision we’re also getting an idea of trouble in the future for God’s people
And so what is happening is God showing His people
Then helping His people to understand what He is showing
So that He can prepare His people for the suffering that awaits them
And Daniel sees what God is showing him
literally we see repeatedly Daniel saying what he saw
But just like a vision Ezekiel received in
Daniel is transported to an entirely different location in his vision
Susa, is about 230 miles east and slightly south of Babylon
That’s about the same distance and direction that Providence, RI is from here
Now when I say he was transported, it is not that he is literally transported there
In his vision, Daniel was in Susa
Which was formerly under Babylonian control
but had since been taken by the Persians
Perhaps foreshadowing what the vision would reveal
Then in vs. 3 we are introduced to the first beast of this vision
the ram
Just like the beasts from chapter 7, the ram serves as a representative of something
Later, in vs. 20 of this chapter, it is revealed that the ram represents the Medo-Persian empire
and the two horns represent the two nations of this joint empire
With their size communicating their strength
We have historical records that indicate the Medes began to rise to prominence in 612BC when they broke free of Assyrian rule
And at the time, they actually reigned over the Persians
Until 550BC, which was around the time this vision was given
When King Cyrus defeated his Median overlord and Persia became the stronger of the two nations
Which was represented as the higher horn that came up last
So this ram was charging west, north, and south
Meaning it came from the east
Which assumes it’s back is toward the east
Something alludes to
Isaiah 41:2 ESV
Who stirred up one from the east whom victory meets at every step? He gives up nations before him, so that he tramples kings underfoot; he makes them like dust with his sword, like driven stubble with his bow.
This ram, that represents the Medo-Persian empire
is being stirred up from the east
charging west, north, and south
trampling kings underfoot
making them like dust, like driven stubble
and God is rhetorically asking, who is the one that is doing all this with and through this ram?
Don’t overthink it, it is God
a continued demonstration of the theme throughout Daniel
that God is the one who raises up kings and tears down kings
And historical records indicate that Cyrus first conquered Asia Minor, to the west
Then Northern Mesopotamia then Southern Mesopotamia
And as vs. 4 said, the ram became great
The Medo-Persians, specifically the Persians, became larger than any previous empire in the history of the ancient near east
Andrew Steinmann says;
“The power of the Medo-Persian Empire was such that it was the unquestioned authority in the Near East for about two centuries (550-331 BC)”
God had risen up the Medo-Persian Empire
And they seemed untouchable
Until God shows Daniel the next kingdom He would rise up
Represented by a goat
Just like vs. 20 shows us that the ram represents the Medo-Persians
Vs. 21 shows us that the goat represents the Greeks
and this large conspicuous horn between his eyes represents “the first king”
according to vs. 21
Which we can now look back on and know it is Alexander the Great
which if you remember the beast from the previous chapter
It was a swift beast to represent the swift conquests the Greeks accomplished under the leadership of Alexander the Great
In this vision, it says he came across the face of the whole earth without touching the ground
Records indicate Alexander the Great defeated the powerful Persians and seized the Near East in just three years
(Picture of Alexander’s Greek Empire)
“In 334 BC Alexander…began a military quest to destroy the Persian Empire. Moving from west to east, he was victorious in battle at Issus in 332 BC against the Persian Darius III.
Which is what this vision communicates to us in vs. 6-7
The goat charged the ram with his powerful wrath and the ram didn’t stand a chance
He was thrown down and trampled and there was no one who could help the ram
These verses are not interpreted later in this chapter
but we know it was fulfilled in 331 BC when the Medo-Persians quick and decisively defeated by Alexander the Great and the Empire of Greece
As a result, the Greek Empire became great, as vs. 8 says
Or as other translations describe it, the Greek’s acted even more arrogantly
They quickly exceeded the size of the Medo-Persians
Moving as
Then, while still an empire, the great and arrogant horn broke
and in its place, four conspicuous horns grew
At the peak of his greatness, Alexander died almost as swiftly as he built an empire
And after a period of some struggle within the empire
resulting in the death of Alexander’s two sons
Four of Alexander’s generals divided up the Empire into four kingdoms that were inferior to the Greek Empire
f
Or as vs. 8 describes them, four conspicuous horns
It’s also interesting the root of the word that we translate to conspicuous is the same root word for vision or word of revelation
Meaning that God is telling Daniel that the conspicuous horn in vs. 5 and the four conspicuous horns in vs. 8 are revealing something
And if you remember from last week, those four kingdoms were Macedonia, Asia Minor, Syria, and Egypt
Dr. Daniel Akin rightly notes;
“The detail and accuracy of God’s prophetic word is truly amazing. Daniel is seeing this and writing it hundreds of years in advance.”
From these four conspicuous horns, vs. 9 tells us of a little horn
This little horn would be an opposition to God’s people unlike any other opponent they have ever faced
The interpretation later in the passage tells us it is a wicked ruler who will arise from one of the four remnant Greek kingdoms
The descriptions we see in the verses that follow, along with what we know from history cause agreement amongst biblical scholars to land on the wicked ruler, Antiochus IV
Also known as Antiochus Epiphanies
Antiochus was truly evil, he fits the mold of an antichrist
Dale Davis describes the way Antiochus led;
“A systematic programme designed to eradicate completely every trace of Israel’s faith, worship, and life. Hence the extreme emergency justified in the detailed prediction. The day would come when Israel would need this revelation.”
along those lines, John Calvin emphasized the importance of the revelation God shows us with this vision;
“The faithful were informed beforehand of these grievous and oppressive calamities, to induce them to look up to God when oppressed by such extreme darkness.”
Antiochus Epiphanies emerged from Syria many years after the death of Alexander the Great
Becoming a ruler in 175BC
and grew exceedingly great toward Egypt, which was south
He also grew east, toward Persia
and He grew toward the glorious land, Israel
Again, Dr. Akin comments on the accuracy of this prophecy;
“The accuracy with which [Antiochus’s] exploits are catalogued has caused liberal scholars to deny the authenticity of Daniel’s prophetic prediction. Surely what we read here, they reason, is vaticinium ex eventu, ‘prophecy after of from the event.’”
These liberal scholars argue there is no way it could have been written in the 500s BC
Therefore, they conclude, someone else in the 100s BC must have written it under the name of Daniel after the reign of Antiochus
But for us who believe in a sovereign God who has always existed, breathed creation into existence, and has already written the future
We know those liberal scholars are wrong
That God showed this vision to Daniel
400 years before Antiochus was even born into existence
400 years ago this year, the Mayflower sailed from England to Massachusetts
The equivalent would be someone on the Mayflower writing down that this new land they were sailing to would become a democracy and 400 years later
It would have an elected leader who use to host a reality show
If a document was found that said that, the pilgrim who wrote it would be worshipped as a god!
But the difference is that our God actually did it through His servant Daniel!
And He did it for a purpose
He showed Daniel this vision
Then helps Daniel understand it
All so He could prepare His people, specifically for Antiochus
But also for us today
But Antiochus, earlier I mentioned he is also know as Antiochus Epiphanes
He gave himself that name because Epiphanes means ‘God manifest’
And earlier I mentioned he is in the mold of the antichrist
The little horn in chapter 7 was a reference to the antichrist
It came out of the empire of the fourth beast
Antiochus fits the reference in chapter 8, again being an antichrist figure
coming out of the four conspicuous horns
but not the antichrist of the end times that chapter 7 referenced
What we see from this little horn
from Antiochus
is that he grew great to the host of heaven in vs. 10
Host here is a military term, meaning this is the heavenly army
The troops of heaven
Which is ultimately a symbol for the people of God
Who are engaged in spiritual warfare
We are troops of the heavenly army
But this little horn is like the dragon of ;
Revelation 12:4 ESV
His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it.
He is throwing some of the people of God down and trampling on them
Mitchell Chase comments about this little horn;
H
“This ruler was indeed a force to be reckoned with!…As the little horn reached for the stars, his arrogance was on display. He strove for a status of which no mere man is worthy. And since God was the creator of the starts in the heavens, the actions of the little horn were ultimately against God himself.”
This little horn is standing against God and defeating God’s people
Antiochus attempted to abolish the worship of Yahweh and persecuted God’s people by forcing them into his belief system
This began around 170 BC
This period of time lasted for 7 years
And Antiochus grew
His power grew and his pride grew along with it
There was no limit to his arrogance
in vs. 11, the Prince of the host is a reference to God
This is believed to reference him giving himself the name Epiphanes
Which again, means “manifestation of God”
Antiochus genuinely thought he was the manifestation of Zeus
And he stops the regular burnt offering
That was the continual worship of God in Jerusalem and Judah with sacrifices
He would not allow ceremonies to take place
And he destroyed the sanctuary in the temple
Records indicate Antiochus entered the Most Holy Place and plundered all the silver and gold
and erected an altar to Zeus in the temple court and gave offerings to Zeus there
vs. 12 says he threw truth to the ground
He was throwing destroying copies of Scripture, treating it as worthless
This vision speaks to the prosperous success of Antiochus
And Daniel hears two angels speaking
and one asks, how long will this last?
And Daniel learns that it would last 2,300 evenings and mornings
The most natural reading would suggest evening and morning refers to one day
which means it could last between six and seven years
or, some propose it may reference the evening and morning sacrifices as separate offerings
Because of the structure of the Hebrew language
It reads more like evening, morning, two thousand and three hundred.
So it would count out two thousand and three hundred sacrifices
Meaning it would only be 1,150 days
Which would be about 3 and a half years
believing the desecration of the temple in 168 BC followed by the cleansing and restoration of the temple in 164 BC fits the timeline
But others point to other forms of persecution Antiochus administered as early as 171 BC
Which would fit with the other timeline
There isn’t complete certainty amongst biblical scholars
But the fact that it was for a limited time was proven when the temple was cleansed and rededicated in December of 164 BC
And for those who were living under the intense persecution of Antiochus
It provided great hope knowing that it would end eventually
God provided this hope to His people by giving Daniel a special revelation
(Special revelation & God’s Word)
But God does not just show this to Daniel
God Shows Us as well
No, He doesn’t show us in these wild and vivid visions like Daniel
And we should not be tempted to receive that type of revelation
God has given us a special revelation
It is His Word
The Bible is God’s special revelation to us
It is through the Bible that God Shows Us His Will, the future, and Jesus Christ
Do not dismiss God’s Word as something lesser because it doesn’t seem as spectacular as some of these visions
The fact that we have God’s Word so readily available in our language is a miracle!
It is a gift!
Thank God that He Shows Us His Word

GOD: God Helps Us (vs. 15-17)

And even though God shows Daniel
Daniel needed help
So God Helped Daniel
Likewise, God Helps Us
Look with me in to see that God Helps Us;
Daniel 8:15–17 ESV
When I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it. And behold, there stood before me one having the appearance of a man. And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of the Ulai, and it called, “Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.” So he came near where I stood. And when he came, I was frightened and fell on my face. But he said to me, “Understand, O son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end.”
As Daniel is trying to wrap his mind around what he has just seen
God sends help
and an angel appears
Specifically, the angel Gabriel
And Gabriel is commanded by a man’s voice to explain the vision to Daniel
don’t overlook where the voice came from
between the banks of the Ulai
If we look back at vs. 2 we see the Ulai is a canal
meaning if it was just a human man, he would have to have been hovering over the water of the canal
So this voice was no mere man
Who could this voice that commanded the angel Gabriel be?
well, tells us;
Psalm 91:11 ESV
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
God is the one who commands His angels
And God helps Daniel by commanding Gabriel to explain the vision
Here Gabriel becomes the first angel named in Scripture
But we also see Gabriel in telling Zechariah about the birth of John the Baptist
and telling Mary about Jesus
Gabriel’s name means “mighty one of God,” “God is mighty,” or “champion of God”
So Gabriel obeys God and tells Daniel to comprehend that this vision is for the time of the end
Which many assume refers to the end times in general
When Christ returns
But some scholars argue that when looking at this in context
It seems more likely that this is in reference to the time of the end of the persecution of Antiochus
Especially now that we are at a time in history where we can look back and directly connect events that occurred to the vision
But prior to that, Gabriel refers to Daniel as son of man
and you may be thinking
last week in chapter 7 we made a big hubbub about how that was a reference to Jesus
why is an angel calling Daniel son of man now?
I’d like to borrow from one commentary;
“[Gabriel] did not use the Hebrew equivalent of the Aramaic title given to the Messiah, which points to Messiah’s divinity (7:13). The phrase used here emphasizes the human weakness and mortality of Daniel.”
So when Gabriel is using son of man here in Hebrew
He is not calling Daniel the Messianic Son of Man
He is literally saying Daniel is a son of a man
He is a mortal, his weakness is in contrast against the angel who resides with the Almighty
Earlier I mentioned that it is a gift that God Shows Us His special revelation through His Word.
His interpretation of His Word is likewise, a gift.
Without God showing us His Word we would draw false conclusions about a higher power
faulty and stumbling in the dark
But God takes delight in Showing Us Himself
We just looked at God helping Daniel by sending Gabriel to interpret the vision for him
And you may be thinking, “God, why can’t you just send Gabriel to me and have him interpret things for me like you did for Daniel?”
(The Helper, the Holy Spirit, Helps us to interpret God’s Word)
He could, he most definitely could
But you would be worse off for it
Because God Helps Us in an infinitely better way!
God Helps Us by interpreting His Word to us Himself
By taking His Holy Spirit and indwelling Himself inside of us
So that we can understand God’s Word
(The Helper, the Holy Spirit, Helps us to interpret God’s Word)

YOU: God Prepares Us (vs. 18-27)

So God Shows Us Himself through His Word
Then He Helps Us with the Helper
Indwelling us with His presence in the form of the Holy Spirit
To be able to interpret His Word for us
And through all of this God Prepares Us
Let’s look at to see how God Prepares Us;
Daniel 8:18–27 ESV
And when he had spoken to me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face to the ground. But he touched me and made me stand up. He said, “Behold, I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of the indignation, for it refers to the appointed time of the end. As for the ram that you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia. And the goat is the king of Greece. And the great horn between his eyes is the first king. As for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms shall arise from his nation, but not with his power. And at the latter end of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise. His power shall be great—but not by his own power; and he shall cause fearful destruction and shall succeed in what he does, and destroy mighty men and the people who are the saints. By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken—but by no human hand. The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been told is true, but seal up the vision, for it refers to many days from now.” And I, Daniel, was overcome and lay sick for some days. Then I rose and went about the king’s business, but I was appalled by the vision and did not understand it.
Here we actually see after Gabriel starts his interpretation
Daniel passed out
and the angel had to grab him and pick him back up
Then he goes on telling Daniel about the latter time of indignation
Essentially he is saying
Daniel, this is what is going to happen at the end of the time of wrath
in other words at the end of the little horn, Antiochus’s, attacks against God’s people
But look at vs. 20-22 with me again
We need to make sure we take this all in
550 BC God gives Daniel this vision while Babylon is the biggest empire
We have been seeing a few different visions and dreams throughout Daniel
and we keep saying we know this part of the dream looks at the Medo-Persians because we are looking back on it
And we know that this references the Greeks because we are looking back on it
Until we get to vs. 20-22
Where Babylon is the world power
and now we know the ram references the Medo-Persians because God said it refers to the Medo-Persians 11 years before they seize Babylon
and maybe your thinking, well I would feel pretty confident at my ability to predict who the world power might be in 11 years
ok, that’s fair
So in vs. 21, God tells us the goat is Greece
and the horn is the first king
When did Greece come into power?
331 BC
Over 200 years later!
How are you feeling about predicting who the world power will be in the year 2220?
God wrote it down and predicted it to a tee!
Here is is! Greece! In black and white!
Is anyone else as blown away by this as I am?!
I mean come on!?
You want to doubt God?
You want to fear something more than him?
No way!
God has shown us, helped us, and prepared us. We can see more and fear less!
God correctly predicted the world power over 200 years in advance.
Why was He able to predict it so accurately?
look at the end of vs. 22
it says not with his power, referencing the horn
Who’s power was it?
Gods!
God is the one who wrote the future!
He is the one who willed it to be!
He is continuing to write and will the future!
He is sovereign!
He raises up kings!
He tears down kings!
then vs. 23 presents Antiochus again
Where we see he starts by having success
including success against God’s people, the saints
Deceiving many and foolishly deceiving himself
believing he can come against the Prince of princes
Where quickly, God shows us who the real King is
breaking Antiochus, but not by human hand
so that it is known that it was by God which Antiochus fell
Then Gabriel tells Daniel to seal up the vision
he wasn’t telling Daniel to hide it
But instead secure this document
Revelation 10:4 ESV
And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”
“The term ‘seal’ can mean to authenticate or certify something, or to close up for confidentiality and safekeeping.”
Keep it safe for the distant future
Faithful readers of God’s Word will need it hundreds of years from now
and still today
because understanding God’s Word prepares us for what is to come
Not just end times
But understanding God’s Word prepares us for what you will face tomorrow morning
It prepares you to face whatever it is your afraid of
It prepares you to find joy in the face of adversity
It prepares you to respond with patience, gentleness, and kindness when someone in your family is rude to you or simply makes a mistake
It prepares you to say no when you are tempted for one more
one more drink, or one more peek, or one more bet
It prepares you to feel peace when everything around you is in chaos
It prepares you to cry with and embrace someone who is grieving
It prepares you to persevere in the face of doubt and adversity
It prepares you to smile, knowing you have found the secret of contentment
It prepares you for everything this world and it’s ruler can throw at you
because it prepares you to acknowledge you aren’t enough
but Jesus is so you don’t have to be
It prepares you to run to Him in repentance
embracing His grace, coming boldly before Him in His throne room
whenever you fall short
and it prepares you to desire Him more than anything else this world and it’s ruler can offer you

WE: Conclusion

God shows Us and God helps us
because understanding God’s Word prepares us for what is to come
Not just end times
It prepares you to smile, knowing God is in control and God has won the battle for you
It prepares you for everything this world and it’s ruler can throw at you
because it prepares you to acknowledge you aren’t enough
but Jesus is so you don’t have to be
It prepares you to run to Him in repentance
embracing His grace, coming boldly before Him in His throne room
whenever you fall short
and it prepares you to desire Him more than anything else this world and it’s ruler can offer you
Being prepared doesn’t mean we don’t carry the burdens of living in a broken world
This vision was filled with tragic and graphic realities of God’s people
and it physically took a toll on Daniel
Dr. Akin’s comments are so appropriate;
“[Daniel] was comforted by the reality that God was in control and that his kingdom would eventually come (v. 25b), but to know that there would be so much evil in the world and so much suffering for God’s people before it arrived was overwhelming. It was too much, at least for a while.”
So if you are like Daniel, overcome by the evil in the world
Don’t think that makes you unprepared
you should not stay there, as Daniel was only there for a while
Because God’s grace is sufficient to overcome the evil of the world
I love the way David Helm says it;
“The final word is not had by the ram, or the goat, but by the Lamb.”
Then Daniel got back up and went about the king’s business
God’s Word prepares us to see an emotional God
The work that God had called him to
I’d like to close by sharing a response to written by Mitchell Chase;
God shows Us His Word
“We do not know what tomorrow ill bring. We do not even have assurances of how this day will end. But keeps before our minds the unchanging truth that God knows the future, and the story he is telling will end in victory and vindication for his kingdom and his people. There may be suffering. There may be persecution. There may be death. But God, who holds all earthly kingdoms and rulers in his hand, is in control and can be trusted. Since he will vanquish his enemies, during this interim period we should repent of sin and confess Jesus as risen Lord and Savior.”
and He helps Us understand it
Amen, please pray with me
So that through it He can Prepare Us to do what He has called us to
