Sign Wonders and Miracles

How 2020 treating you?
Let’s just say it was not what I was expecting, but on further reflection I have discovered it is exactly what God envisioned.
Let me say this. Instead of looking at the turmoil,
The Stock market crash; the price of oil plumeting, People running out of TP
not to mention Corvid19 and the economic cost.
Instead of allowing Fear to overtake us
why not look at it as an opportunity to show God’s Love.
I mean really, Do you believe any these event caught God off guard?
What an opportunity to respond in ways the world thinks is crazy.
Fear is rampant, what would happen if the world saw the church respond in faith!
Look around and you’ll quickly see that our world is filled with instability and uncertainty.
Every day seems to bring with it another disheartening news headline or unanswered question.
In the midst of life’s struggles, how do we hold onto hope?
Simply We fix our eyes on Jesus. God promises that He will never leave us or forsake us.
As we seek His heart, we find hope for our souls and strength to face whatever is in front of us.
Our situation may not change, but when we spend time in God’s Word and in worship, our perspective shifts.
Jeremiah 29:12 NASB95
‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
I really see these current events as an opportunity for God to transform this world into what He desire it to be.
He plans to do it through you!
scary I know!
God is setting the stage that will give His children the opportunity to show His love to a desperate world.
Now let’s be clear.
God is not sending this virus to punish people.
John 10:10 NASB95
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Jesus came to bring Life. its the enemy who’s out to kill
this virus is obviously a weapon of satan to isolate and strike fear in the hearts of people..
Isn’t it great that
Isaiah 54:17 NASB95
“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.

So How do we overcome fear?

We ll the Bible is not silent on the issue

Do not lose heart because of these two smouldering stubs of firewood – because of the fierce anger or Rezin and Aram and of the son of Remaliah.”Isaiah 8:12Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.’Isaiah 10:24Therefore this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says: ‘My people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians, who beat you with a rod and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.’Isaiah 12:2Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grown. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you – you of little faith? So do not worry, saying “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness , and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 10:19But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say.Matthew 10:26‘So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.’Matthew 10:28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:31So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.Matthew 14:27But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’Matthew 17:7But Jesus came and touched them. ‘Get up,’ he said. ‘Don’t be afraid.’Matthew 28:5The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.’Matthew 28:10Then Jesus said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to to go Galilee; there they will see me.’Mark 5:36Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’Mark 6:50because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’Mark 13:11Whenever you are arrested and brought to trail, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:13But the angel said to him: ‘Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.’Luke 1:30But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with God.’ Luke 2:10But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.’Luke 5:10and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, ‘Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.’Luke 8:50Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.’Luke 12:4‘I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.’Luke 12:7Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.Luke 12:11When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say,Luke 12:32‘Do not be afraid, little flock, for your  Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.’John 6:20But he said to them, ‘It is I; don’t be afraid.’John 12:15‘Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt’John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.John 16:33‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.’Acts 18:9One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.’Acts 20:10Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms round him. ‘Don’t be alarmed,’ he said, ‘He’s alive!’Acts 27:24and said, “Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.”Romans 5:1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Hebrews 13:6So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?’Philipppians 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.I Peter 3:6like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.I Peter 3:14But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. ‘Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.’ 1 Peter 5:7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.1 John 4:18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. Revelation 1:17When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.’Revelation 2:10Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
FEAR is nothing more than faith in satan
To counter FEAR you must walk in FAITH
Faith leads you to believe God, Fear leads you to believe satan

Who operating in fear and who enjoying themselves?
you be the judge
There are many churches shutting down their services , not gathering together.
I have to ask myself why?
Oh its a good idea to keep people safe. don’t want to spread the virus..
sounds logical, but isn’t it rooted in fear that something might happen to someone.
After all no one know for sure who has what
Isn’t the primary motivation fear ?
Aren’t we being lead by fear disguised as good judgement?
to the world this makes perfect sense.
But do you really want to to be controlled by fear?
Mark 16:18 NASB95
they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Psalm 91:10 NASB95
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.
How can we read that in the Bible and not let that be our reality.

Could it be that we trust our own reality more than the Bible?

Now I’m not suggestion we go out and try to get sick to prove the word of God.
Jesus actually dealt with this issue when he was tempted by satan in the wilderness
Matthew 4:5–7 NASB95
Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, He will command His angels concerning You’; and On their hands they will bear You up, So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’ ” Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ”
We are not to put God to the test.
Yes we are to use what we know to remain safe.
Covid19 transmitted through body fluids
like saliva, so if you have it and you sneeze or cough it spreads
If you come in contact with the fluids from someone who is infected you can be infected if those fluids get into your body
eyes, nose, mouth etc.
It is thought to be able to live on some surfaces up to 3 days.
So if an infected person someone sneezes on their hand and touches a door knob.
you come by and touch that doorknob within 3 days and then touch your hand to your face. you could get infected.
Same if you shook someones hand who had the virus.
If you have the virus Over 80% have a very mild form
Around 14% may get a fever that last over 8 hours
1-3% could die
So how do you prevent it
Covid19 is a corona Virus....very similiar to the common cold virus in how its transmitted.
So the same strategy you would use to prevent getting or passing on a cold applies here
1. Wash your hands
20 seconds soap and water
or a hand sanitizer
Now when I say this how many of you have the urge to touch your face?
Power of suggestion (itchy noise) if you have to use the back of your hand or forearm
3. Keep a distance from those who are sick.
That’s all good advise that doesn’t contradict faith.
.......Unless your doing it out of fear.
Well that’s the longest introduction ever!
Let’s continue where we left off last week
Through Holy Spirit God will release giftings to the young and new believers that, the experienced have desired for years
Don’t become jealous, but cheer them on.
Walk in His perfect peace, no longer striving but walking in step with Holy Spirit.
2020 is God’s year of new beginnings, new births, restored dreams and empowered believers.
The age of denominations is coming to an end, and the restoration of the Apostolic and Prophetic.
Those who embrace the Holy Spirits call will be blessed, and walk in perfect peace in step with the Father.
Holy Spirit’s gifts will be released on all those who believe, and those newly gifted will operate as with a lifetime of experience.
The coming wave of God’s grace and mercy will afford opportunity to encounter His presence in Greater ways.
Hebrews 2:4 NASB95
God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.
will be common place in my people. The supernatural will become natural for God’s Children.
I believe God is calling His people to partner with Holy Spirit to see the release of Signs Wonders and Miracles
Its not just for the early apostles, or modern day evangelists and pastors.
Its for everyone who believes.
God wants to join you in testimony by displaying signs, wonders, miracles and the Holy Spirit gifts
You see these are the tools God provides to bring people in saving grace.
Its not about arguing them in the Kingdom
But rather Loving them into the Kingdom using the gifting the Holy Spirit releases.
Mark 16:20 NASB95
And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed. And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.
Acts 14:3 NASB95
Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.
Acts 2:43 NASB95
Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.
Acts 5:12 NASB95
At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s portico.
Some have erroneously concluded that signs wonders and miracles were only for the Apostles to kick start the Church
Now that things are going they are no longer needed.
But let’s take a closer look at what Jesus said to His disciples after He resurrected and before He ascended through Marks eyes
Mark 16:16–20 NASB95
“He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. “These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed. And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.
Jesus is talking about those who have believed and been baptised. He hasn’t limited it to the Apostles
These signs will accompany those who have believed
Cast out demon
Tongues
immunity from poisons
Healings
Well what if yo don’t believe?
Well I guess these signs won’t follow you!
Hebrews 11:6 NASB95
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
The difference between seeing signs wonders and miracles and not seeing them is your willingness to believe in them
If you don’t believe God wants to follow you with signs and wonders and miracles. He won’t.
If you don’t want to believe what the Bible says about your situation, and would rather lean on your own understanding.
God will allow it. But you have to take everything that goes with it!
You don’t want to believe God when he says in
Psalm 121:7 CSB
The Lord will protect you from all harm; he will protect your life.
You can very much remove yourself from His protection
just don’t believe it.
Now what happens if you get sick, is it your fault for not having enough faith?
absolutely not!
Trusting God completely is a process, I don’t know anyone who has completed it.
We are all at different areas of growth in our trust of Him.
There may be some areas that you trust God more than I do because of what He taken you through.
and vice versa
I’m not going to judge after all I’ve had H1N1 and it was nasty!
If you get sick
James 5:14 NASB95
Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
Along with that listen to medical advice.
If your in relative good health isolate yourself, get rest and lots of liquids
If your health challenged seek medical help
Psalm 118:26 NASB95
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.

What we are to do!

I believe God is going to eradicate the Corvid19 virus, but He’s using it as an opportunity to get His children to believe it!
2 Chronicles 7:14 NASB95
and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
We’ve heard this voice 100 times, but have you considered the context?
2 Chronicles 7:13 NASB95
“If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,
People its time to pray for our land
Repent of the sins of our nation
