Adoption was widely practiced in the ancient world.

adrogatio- the adopted family in effect ceased to exist as a separate entity and became a part of the adopter’s family.

adoptio= an individual was adopted into a family

Paul embraced God has adopted his children and so has authority over them as a Father, while the children take on God’s identity

Transcending Power Of Faith (3:27-29)

27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

The church transcends the culture because
