1. Maturity in Christ dictates that we walk differently than before Verse 17

v, 13 - “until we ALL attain to the unity of the faith. Knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the fullness of Christ. UNIFIED

v. 14 - No longer children, tossed here and there by waves of culture and any old doctrine that comes down the pike. STABILIZED

- God said it, that seals it ??

God said it, I believe it, that settles it.

Speaking the truth in love - ENERGIZED

Could be - God said it, That Settles it, It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not - God is Truth!

futile minds, v. 17

darkened understanding, v. 18

ignorant to the life in God, v. 18

hardened heart, v. 18

become callous, v. 19

given over to sensuality and impurity, v. 19

CHRISTIANS: v. 20 - BUT YOU DID NOT LEARN CHRIST in this way.

How did you learn Christ?

Have heard, are held accountable, v. 21

Have been taught, there will be a test, v. 21

TRUTH is in Jesus, He is our standard! v. 21

God said it, I believe it, that settles it.

Could be - God said it, That Settles it, It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not - God is Truth

2. Walk Like a Christian

1. Think differently: v. 17-19

Lay aside former manner of life

Lay aside the old self, which is corrupted in accordance:

lusts of deceit

** It is a shame that there are people who have walked an aisle and never progressed beyond the old self.

** If Christ is in us there must be a change, a transformation, a Metamorphao - to a new state LOOK UP.

2. Be RENEWED in the spirit of your mind

Put on the NEW Self

in the likeness of God - Created in

righteousness

holiness of the truth
