How many of us have ever watched youtube or some sort of streaming service. Isn’t it funny how most of them you start watching it and then boom you see that little circle on your screen? The LOADING circle that you never can predict when it will end. For most of us that is the time to get snacks or go to the bathroom but we start doing OTHER things when its loading. We never actually stay put or keep the same attentiveness when its loading.
In this passage the Isrealites were rescued from the Egyptians. God made a way so that they could be delivered out of the bondage of the Egyptians. God used Moses to deliver them and would use Moses to deliver them to a promised land.
How many of us has God called us to something and we know what it is? Now how many of us are wondering WHERE or HOW LONG until you get it?
You see I like to refer to this as the Loading place. I call it this because often times this is the place where because we cant see it we get discouraged and have the thought to quit. You see this is the time where it seems like most of the attacks come against us and we dont know where to go.
This is in fact where we are the most desperate and forget about what God has done in our lives prior to this and the very next problem will push us to the breaking point.
Take the isrealites. You see in this passage they had already been delivered FROM Egypt and were now in unknown territory en route to the promise land. You see God delivered them and told them that he would take them to a promise land.
How many of us know that in order to get to a promise land you have to go through some stuff.
In order to get to where God has called you he has to take you through a process of shaping and molding.
In this text they as they were going they came to a point to where they felt their resources had been depleted. They were at a place where they felt like it was better off where they came from because they had all the food they could eat.
They began to complain that in Egypt their plates remained full but they forgot about the bondage that had taken place in their lives. They forgot about the hurt and paint that they had endured over the years and they forgot that at the present moment they were free.
It was at that point that they had forgot that if God delivered them out of Egypt then he can surely give them food.
How many of us right now are at a place where we feel like our provisions and our resources are all deminished. For some of us God has told you that you would start your own business but as you look at your bank account you dont even have the money to even buy a domain name to start the business. For some of you God has told you that you would teach the word but every time you open your bible it seems like jibberish as you read it. And you have gotten to a point where you have told yourself that life was better off when you were in the world.
You spent so much time asking God when would it come and it seemed as though he didnt hear you and didnt answer but God was there the whole time. He has been there and although it looked as thought your provisions had run out God has sent you Manna from above.
