Family Room Vision - Experiencing God

Current Purpose, Vision & Mission PURPOSE - To reveal the love of Jesus so people can be reconciled to God and His family. VISION - We have a vision of a world where spiritually healthy families experience righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. MISSION - To be a spiritual family where creative worship, meaningful friendships and biblical teaching are practiced. New Purpose, Vision & Mission We are a family that longs to experience God and love well. It encompasses the presence of God, His greatest commandment & relationship/family. When others think about The Family Room, we want them to say, ‘that’s a people that is experiencing God, and loves well’. This is what we long to be both personally and corporately. These are what we want to invite people into, regardless of where they’re at spiritually Easy to remember (2 points) & easy measure for all we do (events, ministry endeavors, etc) Helps us walk daily & has room to expand into all and more areas (present+future/forward thinking) Tagline: “Experiencing God. Loving well.” Experiencing God: Allowing the lifegiving & restorative love of Jesus to bring transformation. How is this accomplished? (Mission) - Creative Worship > worship service, worship through artistic expression, contemplative exercises, creating a sacred space - Biblical Teaching > sermons, adult/youth/child classes, small groups, specialized training/conferences - Prayer > ministry time at end of Sunday service, healing prayer, spiritual direction, sacred space/space given to wait on & hear God/ Holy Spirit, prayer nights
