Sunday 22nd March sermon

Well, welcome everybody. We continue without Easter themed Walk This Way, and I'm thankful that you joined us on this sermon platform and this will be one of the first times I've used these sorry. I trust that everything will go smoothly and everything on your end will go smoothly and I trust that through this you will be encouraged and Bill. We find that the Bible uses the phrase walk to refer to a following a pause or an example of lobster. And the gospels the stories of Jesus encourage us to walk in the way of Jesus. For the second aspect that we discover about the teaching of Jesus comes from John chapter 11. Jesus had a great friend Lazarus and he became so sick. So sick that he died and when Jesus finally turned out To the tomb of Lazarus this a few interesting things that happened. and the first is that Jesus is blamed for the death of Lazarus his friend. He's blamed for the death of his friend. They're the questions that come from those around you hate. If you were my friend you would have been here when he wouldn't have gone. If you did what was in your power Jesus this wouldn't have happened. If you could only have got here Aaliyah. You could have saved. if you if you go to if God if no, I know the past couple of weeks. I lost those same if God question. Maybe you have as well. What we begin to realize is that God is still God. And that Jesus is with us in the situation and that Jesus weeps with us.

And we weep as a community together over the great that we share that we can tonight and I know some of you were doing it tough being social isolation. We shave your grace. And what we need to realize today is that Jesus weeps with us? He did not create this world for people to contract disease. This is not the world that God created. This is not how it was intended. the finally we discover in the gospels that we have the promise of Jesus as comforter. In the Gospel of John Jay says gather these two samples around and says hi fellas. I'm going to leave you guys alone. It sounded so bad of the disciples to lose a friend and said that you merely started asking question. Why where are you going? How are you going to get there? Who's going to look after Ross? Jesus replies with an answer to all those questions. He says he's God. Another friend is coming. and that friend the Holy Spirit comes as the comforter. The comforter of our hearts and minds of my alarms. when we become Christians, the Holy Spirit comes into a lines the holy spirit is a gift from God to which one of you And the Holy Spirit is comforter. The holy spirit is the one that can give you comfort and peace at a time like this. Jesus is a comforter. And one why we experience the comfort of Jay-Z's through the Christian Community. And so can I encourage you at times like these? To bring the comfort of Jesus for those through this time of social isolation.

And maybe H day this week. You need to contact one person from a church community. Want Me by SMS, it might be a phone call or what might be through Facebook Messenger, but one person each day from at church Community check in with them. Maybe have a Bible verse that you could read to encourage one another and the price of one another. Kind courage with this time of social isolation to contact one person each day from your local community.
