Make a Choice to Rejoice

Every praise is to our God every word and worship with one Accord Every Praise every praise is to our God. What an awesome time. To really enter into the presence of God in a way that will allow us to experience him even in our time alone.

Chogada, I thank you for what you continue to do in our lives? We pray your blessings on this time that we shared together. That time you would be in the house. Thank you for your people that are in their cars with all that you may meet them where they are. You are a god about that meets us where we are. You said the knife in in Psalms 91 that you are a refuge a shelter in the time of storm. And so God. Thank you for being a shelter. Thank you for being our god. Thank you God that we have a guy that we can seek that we will seek your face in the way that we can trust our we can trust in the Lord with all of our heart not to mean on to our own understanding but in all always make him known and he will direct thy path. What a great God we serve what a great opportunity to serve a God that never failed. You are amazing. God know and I love you with everything in me. I'll be with us there. They got as we break open the world as we share our time together as we are able to hear your voice. I want you would have us to do right now in these very trouble tire repair your blessings of God for those that may not have those that are hungry those that are struggling in those that are hurting until father. You play Oh Lord that you will be with them and that the church will rise up and begin to be the hands and feet of Jesus because we know it John 10:10. And we do that by going up with God and with each other and out into the community one of the ways that we go in with each other and go into the word is on on Wednesdays at 7 will be doing it online this week. We typically eat and share in the world and it's been a rich time folks a growing and developing and becoming more mature in Christ and it's a great opportunity join us.

God has blessed us with a food pantry. And I know this is going to be even more important as we receive the need happening and so are we thank God for what he's doing there with the food pantry at you know, I Vision message this this year is really all about focused around being like Jesus. It's so important. Pastor grab ahold of this God that we share and this guy that that allows us to do even greater things than we've ever done before until we thank God for what he's doing and how he's doing it. We going to take some time to to do the Sherry and giving giving is an act of worship, and we really believe that this is a great opportunity for us as a as a community is a congregation to come together and I continue to support the needs of the ministry and I bet they don't stop. This is a tweak series and how important it is for us to choose you this day who we will serve. Will it be a God or will it be mad and more more than ever before in the challenges that we face as a church and as a as a community, we have got to choose Faith over fear Angelo last week. We spoke into this message of Faith over over fear and God has given us not a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and a disciplined mind, but today I want to focus primarily on this issue of it the importance of understanding the importance of understanding. Choosing this day whom you will serve and how important it is for us to make the choice to Rejoice making the choice to Rejoice. It's not an easy thing to do in the midst of turmoil in the midst of struggle in the midst of pain, but God has given us this message that we have got to make the choice to rejoice in this season that God has given us that we must Focus not on the circumstances but focused on God, who is the provider God who will deliver us God who will never fail he is an amazing God and worthy to be praised. Somebody need to hear that this morning you're struggling in your body is struggling in your spine answered you struggling in your marriage. I want you to know that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that. You can ever ask or think that we have got to choose Jesus as we choose him. He will make everything. Alright, so today What is today on this message of making the choice to Rejoice making the choice to rejoice and I really believe in this season is the choice that we have to make we can Panic or we can pray we can we can become unglued or we we can mean into the Refuge in the protection for the Goshen. If you will have the other word in the people of God as we come together as one until today. I want to go with the world and I still believe that you'll be blessed today. Pray as we open up the door together. Thank you for your word and never returns void always accomplishes its purpose. I pray we'll all that you'll give me this week vessel an opportunity to minister to your people in a way that will bring Deliverance that will set some folks free today and what I just thank you all ready for what you're doing and what you what you continue to do in Jesus name we pray. But I think it has relevance for what we are doing and what we're experiencing now as a local church rejoice in the lord always I will say it one more time. This is Paul talking about Rejoice. Let your gentleness be evident to all the Lord. The Lord is near somebody say that the Lord is near I don't care. What is going on. The storms may come the pillows made me blow but that the God is near but 6 don't be anxious about anything. But if I do this but in everything not something but in everything by prayer somebody say pray prayer and petition and with Thanksgiving the Bible says we are is that our request to God and it says then that that the peace of God that transcends all understanding is going to guard our hearts and our minds. In Christ in in Christ Jesus and then goes on to say how important it is for us to finally says Paul says my brothers and sisters whatever is true, a lot of good news bad news going on in the world right now. But focus on what is true the word is true. Whatever is Noble whatever is right, whatever is lovely whatever is admirable. The Bible says if anything is excellent or praiseworthy what we need to do we need to focus on these things focus focus think about these things whatever you have learned or received or heard from me. The Bible says you seen in me put into practice. I love it. We are trying to be like Jesus and Jesus is our model and. So, whatever he did we need to do a men and so on and the God of Peace Will be with you always. So I'm asking the question today of you you sitting there at right there at your home. What are you fretting about? What are you anxious about? What are you talking about? Are you struggling with greed? I don't know depression on forgiveness. Is there a struggle with a happy one day you're sad. The next the thing that you focus on is really the thing that you will become Jobe said it and I think they enjoyed 325. You said what I feared has happened to me. So I'm saying don't don't worry. Don't worry. That's what this is trying to say here worship. What is worship worship is focusing on God. You may Focus you a worship other things the idea is that you're focusing on God and Jesus and and what he has for you when you begin to focus on everything else you become like Peter was as the wind was blowing to and fro you notice that you never know where the wind is coming from. I just kind of shows up and you What circumstances that comes into my life and and so it's been repeated began to focus on the Wind. Then I left on the wave he began to sink some of yours thinking right now got a saint take your eyes off of the way take your eyes off of the wind take your eyes off of the distractions are everywhere and begin to pour and keep your eyes on Jesus the author and the finisher of your faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things that are not seen. So this text is powerful. This is the day that the Lord has made I will to rejoice and be glad in it and so, you know, everything is around us is Shifting, but I'm here to tell you that the God is able when we look at this stuff is this letter the phillipian letter that Paul wrote to the to the church in Philippines. You planted the church man has a plan for this is one of the churches that he planted and he writes this letter while he was in prison, right? He he he's preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ while he's in a Cell Amen to a letter not even through Facebook or or Facebook live, but in Philippines for open up that everything is is not is not necessarily going well in the Philip Philip Philip II Church in the Philippian church and that there's problems going people are arguing their folks are struggling with honesty and we are we are we are we are seeing Paul a talking and speaking sometime. We just speak into the complex album times. We straight back but Paul began to write it says listen your argument disagreement about everything and that about your face and he says listen, I need you to get the folks. Focus on Jesus and not the circumstances around you was disagreeing with each other and causing problems. Anybody know about that causing problems causing problems on the job and gossiping in and and murmuring and and talking about each other in and so I spoke directly to it as pastors. We need to begin to speak to conflict speak to the mountain don't shrink back but I but speak to it in love but be honest and be truthful as Paul was doing in his in his in his letter to Palm says he pleads with them. He said stop it. Stop all this arguing stuff all of this one and he's he's speaking about the disagreement. And so and in the scripture, I think we have opportunity to kind of line from this letter that Paul is writing is is is is is uncertain. Just imagine man. He's he's in jail. I mean I can picture him locked up bound up chained up by not getting much to eat. But yet he found enough strength to even continue to minister to that local church near in Philippine, and he proclaims rejoice. Rejoice and he said it again I say rejoice. Listen. This statement is grounded in Ministry. We need to make the choice to Rejoice statement that can speak to us when when life is going downhill. This is the umbrella of truth that can encourage you make the choice to rejoice when you're feeling down me feeling we can we can Rejoice because God has a purpose for our lives even has a purpose for the storm that we're in right now. He has a purpose he has a purpose for every situation out in our lives. And so the good news is is is that the as well as as the bad news, he's working it all out for our good and I told you he said that God is in in your life. He's in a life-changing business and Paul was really trying to encourage the Philip the Philippines and Philippian Church to truly begin to focus now on their circumstances no matter what is happening around you no matter the situation. What what looks like is out of control you need to trust in God it was a story told a funny story told about a young lady who sent a letter to her family pacifically to her mom and dad and let me read the letter to you because I thought it was real interesting. It says their mom and dad. I'm so sorry to be so long and writing you unfortunately all of my stationary was destroyed that the night a particular night in the dorm and it was still on fire by demonstrators. I am thinking that the parents are going crazy right now. She says I'm I'm out of the hospital now and the doctor say my eyesight should return sooner or later. But you know what? She said. I found this wonderful boy. His name is rescued me from the fire. She said and he kindly offered to share his little apartment with me until the dorm is rebuild. It comes from a good family. So won't you won't be surprised when I tell you that we are married. In fact, you've always wanted a grandchild. You'll be glad to know that you will be grandparents next month old Lord. I know you're happy with all of this great news, but she is a letter by saying this PS, please disregard all that. It's it is a practicing English composition that I had to do. And so it was really no fire there. I haven't been in the hospital. I don't have a boyfriend. I'm not pregnant. She said but I did get a D in math. And I and I and I am failing out of chemistry. And so I just wanted you to I don't know be sure that you received this news in the proper perspective in the proper perspective perspective perspective makes makes all the difference in the world that we live in right now. We need to have a god perspective how you view your problems really makes a huge difference and how you react to them. It's not about what's happening. It's about how you respond until Paul is saying to our folks here not to spawn in a way. That will cause you stress and pain stop focusing at how stressed you are and start focusing and how blessed you are. Let me say that again. Stop focusing on how stressed you are and start focusing on how blessed you are count your blessing. That song says one by one see what the Lord has done a men begin to focus on that because I really believe that God is using this setback as a setup for a comeback. Amen. God is using this setback as a setup for a comeback as a good friend of mine would say so God can use your greatest pain. I mean to launch your greatest mystery some great Ministries is going to come out of this circumstance that we find ourselves in some great situations are going to come out God is going to bless us in ways that we've never been blessed before. So just in in the last few moments that I have to get it I'm saying God is saying I make the choice to Rejoice. Amen, and it's When did he saying is that know that he is near the God is near he's never left you or forsaken. You look at burst 5 in this Philippines text. He says he is near to me. He is near to me let your gentleness be known to all don't panic panic and we become so frantic. God is saying listen let your these times in particular that we have got to let out of a gentleness be known to others. Don't don't don't don't don't panic but to pray so it is you and he's near to you. He hears you and he's near to you. So I really believe that he's asking us to rejoice. And make the choice to Rejoice. He's asking us to be aware of the fact that he is near and that he will never leave us or forsake us and he will always be with us until the end of the Earth. And so I'm delighted today to just share with you in in this Paul's letter because I think it's relevant to who we are and what God has called us to do that. We have to make the choice to rejoice when we make the choice to rejoice. In fact may not change the circumstance but he will change you in the middle of the circumstance as we get a god perspective gospel spectrum is that you must make the choice to Rejoice today. And so I thank you. I thank you for your love that you have for God and I thank you. How you in the midst of it all that you're waking up today realizing that we have to give him the praise in the midst of it all no matter what you're going through it if you woke up today with some health issues. Remember that you're more than bless you alive tens of thousands of people will not survive. If you if you are if you never experienced the danger of battle the loneliness of imprisonment, you're ahead of 20 million people if you have it if you attend a church service without fear on harassment you blessed if you have food in your refrigerator. Amen, you are blessed 75% of the world don't have food. If you can read 2 billion people in the world can't read what you can read begin to speak the blessings of God be loving you are blessed. You are very blessed. You are blessed. I make the choice to rejoice as return the eyes to Jesus who's the author and the finisher of our faith. He's a wonderful face a man. He he he knows all things. He's all over his boy has fill this place. And so I'm asking you today to make the choice to Rejoice. Don't fear make the choice to redraw. Know that God is near and know that he will guide you and God your mind as you focus on him and not your circumstances. Let's pray to God that I really believe that God is speaking to someone today. And this message may have reached you right where you are that it is your choice to Rejoice. Paul said it twice for a reason and so I want you to to begin to change your mindset and begin as you change your mindset. You'll begin to change your life focus on Jesus. That's what Paul was telling the Philippian Church focus on Jesus. Let's pray together. Eternal Father we thank you and thank you for who you are and who you continue to be you are the king of glory strong and mighty Lord. You are Mighty in battle. Somebody needs to know that they need to lift up their heads O ye gates the Bible says and be lifted up for the king of glory shall come in here come into your bedroom heels coming to your sickness is coming to your battle with drugs and alcohol helps coming come into your situation in your marriage still coming to your marriage still come into your life is coming to your workplace. He will come in the king of glory shall come in and sup, who is this king of glory. He is the Lord he is strong and he's mighty be stronger than your greatest problem. He's a mountain moving God. He's a god of the impossible. He can do great things. He is your Who is broken down every wall? He is the alpha. He is the Omega he is the beginning and if he is the joy unspeakable and full of Glory. The joy of the Lord is your strength Rejoice my friend today A Joyful heart is good medicine to give us the laugh together, even a list of all of this to be prudent but five of the focus on Jesus. We will say no depression will say no to getting stuck in grief I declare. Oh God that we were real real real stop being disgruntled and angry and frustrated, but will rejoice again. I say rejoice repeat it after me make the choice to Rejoice one more time make the choice to Rejoice make the choice to Rejoice. Hey, listen, I love you. I just want to tell you thank you for listening in out today that Joy is not just an emotion. It's a choice and I really believe it's an attitude towards life. And so what you give you receive if you're seeking Joy, then you need to give joy a man to make the choice to Rejoice today. And when you let Joy make the decision troyce to Rejoice my choice Rejoice, it's contagious put on your hand right on the tablet of your heart make the choice to Rejoice. Let's agree with Paul that God has called us to be more like him in Jesus name. It's awesome time. I I pray that you are at your life will be blessed and maybe somebody on this call that may not know God. And I wanted to let you know that today is the day of salvation and that they may be a friend that husband or son or a child that you may want to show this video to that. They need to make the choice to rejoice in order to do that. You really need to know the true Giver of joy and his name is Jesus. And we know that tomorrow is not promised to us. And today is the day of salvation. So if you just close your eyes with me and and today if you don't know the Lord in the pardon of your sin take this time to do that. Now. These are tough times. You can't do without Jesus. You need him in your life. You need him in your boat. The storms of life will come the bill has made blow their times a difficult and they may not even get any more easier. So you need to know Jesus. So if you if you're there in the digital world no matter where you are in your car. In your home, Georgia license just say this Lord. Come into my life today. I confess my sins to you. I believe in my heart that Jesus was raised from the dead and he was Sitting at the right hand of his father and now I have an opportunity to not enter Heaven because of the work of Jesus. Today is the day to surrender if you're in today. I want want encourage you to do just that.

Believe that this is an opportunity for us to lean in to what God is saying get closer to our families get stronger. I know I want to play the fiddle video. I am learning now how important it is to get close to your family spending time with your children and finding ways to connect in ways that you haven't before so this is going to be a great opportunity while I may not be a good football player.
