Do Not Be Dismayed

26  lMy flesh and my heart faileth:

But God is the †strength of my heart, and mmy portion nfor ever.

There are times when life’s experiences stretch our faith within microns of breaking. Such a crisis of faith comes to expression in Psalm 73.

Today, many will continually worry about the pandemic of COVID19, but we have comfort in knowing that Jesus is Lord and that he is our strength.
Let me assure you of this, that we as a Nation and we as a Christian people will spring forward from this. God is our provider, healer, and banner and, just as the Hebrew Children, He goes before us:

8 And the LORD, ohe it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, mhe will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither pbe dismayed.

You May be Seated haha Oooo wait I’m sure many of you already are
Promise from Moses unto Joshua before his passing
Moses is preparing to pass down the annointing
This was a reassurance that God went before Joshua and the Children of Israel.
GOD DOES THE SAME FOR THE CHURCH TODAY…Indeed, he still goes before us and provides our hearts’ with strength

We can take away three special elements from :

He will be with Thee

The Old Testament Tells us:
---
Collins Thesaurus of the Bible A1 a God Who Is Near

the Lord is near to all who call on him (Ps. 145:18); he is not far from each of us (Acts 17:27); the Lord is at hand (Phil. 4:5); draw near to my soul (Ps. 69:18); do not be far from me (Ps. 22:11; Ps. 22:19); it is good for me to be near God (Ps. 73:28); the Lord is near to the broken-hearted (Ps. 34:18);

DON’T READ — Just for Reference
---
The Old Testament Tells us:
the Lord is near to all who call on him ();
The Lord is near to all who call on him ();

18  aThe LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him,

To all that call upon him bin truth.

Draw near to my soul ();

18  Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it:

Deliver me because of mine enemies.

do not be far from me (; );

11  Be not far from me; for trouble is near;

For there is †none to help.

19  But be not thou far dfrom me, O LORD:

O my strength, haste thee to help me.

it is good for me to be near God ();

28  But it is good for me to draw near to God:

I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,

That I may qdeclare all thy works.

the Lord is near to the broken-hearted ();

18  dThe LORD is nigh †unto them that are of a ebroken heart;

And saveth such as be †of a contrite spirit.

The New Testament Tells us:
the Lord is at hand ();

5 Let your lmoderation be known unto all men. mThe Lord is at hand.

Or the NRSV states it like this:

5 Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.

he is not far from each of us ();

27 so that they would search for Godj and perhaps grope for him and find him—though indeed he is not far from each one of us.

(My personal favorite for today haha) God draws near when we draw near to him ();
The New Revised Standard Version Friendship with the World

8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

He will NOT Fail Thee

- God will provide all of our needs…out of his glorious abundance.
So many people have put there trust in:
The government
The CDC
President Trump
My hand sanitizer
My Toilet Paper
What about God? The Bible tells us that He’s the only one who will not fail!!!
My toilet paper might fail. My Hand Sanatizer might fail, but God…He won’t fail!!!
Just
This doesn’t mean, “O Brother Berry said using hand soap and toilet paper doesn’t matter; what my authorities say doesn’t matter; using common sense measures doesn’t matter” — It means trust in God above everything else…do not fear the unknown for He alone holds tomorrow!
BTW: Please use your hand sanitizer — sCleanse your hands, ye sinners

One small note of clarification on quarantine:

4 If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days:

The point of this passage is to help Aaron determine if an individual had leprosy or (sara-ath).
Illustrate what the priest did to determine if someone was unclean
It is vital that we understand, God’s people used quarantine.
The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), .
What I’m getting at is common sense does not go against the Word of God.
- We need to be vigilant in preventing this disease from destroying those around us, just as they did with (sara-ath) or leprosy.
---

He will not forsake thee:

31 (For the LORD thy God is za merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

God isn’t in the business of destroying his people…while leaving His will and presence, can postpone a Christian’s promise, God does not upbraid His promises from His people.
Draw near to Him and (He will Draw near to you) His promises will draw closer to you. ()
With James being in mind once again, wash your hand you sinners!

5 Let your conversation be mwithout covetousness; and nbe content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, oI will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

God has not forsaken His people…DO NOT FEAR

Conclusion: Fear Not, Neither be Dismayed

The principle of not being anxious, full of fear, or worrisome is portrayed over 365 times in the Bible. Fear is addressed 500 times in the Bible…God is trying to tell us something here:
Fear Not!!!
However, adds another statement: “Do not be dismayed”
The Hebrew word for Dismayed is (Ha-thath)חָתַת:
This word means to be shattered, dismayed, or filled with terror.
God is trying tell His leaders, His Church, and Apostolic Gateway to not be Hah-thath today. Do not be filled with terror because God will guide our way.
