Spirituality is the Opposite of Carnality

Carnally Minded
In the Greek, it is, “fleshly way of thinking.”
It is a way of thinking that make decisions and reasons purely from an appeal to the flesh.
The carnal mind is AGAINST GOD! ()
Being carnally minded is DEATH! ()
Spiritually Minded
Being spiritually minded means thinking in a way that places our spiritual nature ahead of our fleshly nature.
We are focused on our immortal spirit rather than our temporal flesh ().

Spirituality is the Goal of Christian Growth

Paul said that he couldn’t speak to the Corinthians as spiritual people because they had not grown as they should have ().
They were still thinking like worldly - fleshly minded - people.
Their carnal thinking prevented them from a deeper spiritual understanding.
Their envy, strife, and divisions were evidence of their lack of spirituality.
They were behaving like people that only understand things from a fleshly viewpoint.
The spiritual person understands the difference between those who point other to Christ and Christ! ().

Spirituality Fulfills the Law of Christ

Spiritual people...
Seek to restore those who are straying ().
Seriously consider their own spiritual condition (, ).
Support their brethren in achieving true spirituality ().
