The shoes of the Gospel of peace.

Ephesians 6:15 NKJV
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Ill: During the Korean war our troops had to deal with weather that they were not properly equity for. Temp would get down below -30.
They had boots (same type used WWII) with a linen, and extra socks, but the sweat would freeze and would cause frostbite. During the 2 week battle of the Chosen reservoir (Frozen reservoir) over 18,000 US troops suffered from Frostbite.

So in Navy Clothing and Textile Research Center in Natick, Massachusetts, they developed a boot called the Mickey mouse boot. This boots was the beginning of the change in foot wear in our military today.
The US Militarily was putting a lot into technology , weapons, but realized that they needed to take care of the feet.
During the Vietnam war they would in the Jungle or at Fire base for weeks and Months at a time. It was important the wash their feet and change socks. When I was in Gitmo living in the Field, the Navy Corpsman would stress the importance of taking care of your feet.
Our Military has come a long way when it comes to battle technology. Smart bomb that can hit target dead on. Drones, that planes that fly without a pilot inside. Our ground troops have great technology. There was a time when a courier on foot had to run messages. Now they can talk to some on the other side of the world.
With all of this technology, your feet need to be in good shape. When it come to warfare, its the troops on the ground that win the battle. The Infantry. (Foot Solder)
Foot Solder is a good term for Christians on the spiritual battle field. We had told to stand.
As a Church, when we get serious about reaching the lost in our community , enemy is going to fight back.
