Introduction:
Good morning church today we will be continuing with the theme of “Faith the currency of Heaven” My prayer is that we all grow in our faith. Last week looked at how faith helps us to overcome our fears. This week we will be looking at “A Practical Faith”. In a moment we will be reading from James ch2. If you have your bibles can I get you to open it to . I would like to encourage you also to get a copy of Ps Johns message from last week. Ps John spoke on the Realms of faith. Faith for salvation, this is on a personal level. Faith for others, faith for nations, consider your faith at a corporate level. Let’s pray.

Prayer:
Father we thank you for Your goodness in our lives. I pray that our hearts will be open and receptive to all that You have for us. Father today I thank You for Your Holy Spirit and the revelation He brings of Your word in our lives. Amen
Point 1
Real faith is Practical
· Faith without works is dead. ()
· Faith is expressed through good works and not an idea separate from real life. Faith is to produce in us right living, right motives, right thinking, and right relationships.
· Faith for everyday life. Flood relief. ( Trust in the Lord with all your heart) ()
Point 2
Real faith is Spiritual
· Faith for healing – By His stripes we are healed ()
· Faith for Salvation – By Faith we are saved ()
· Faith to overcome – In the midst of the storm (peace be still )
Point 3
Real faith demonstrates our commitment to Christ
· Our good works confirm that faith is alive and active in us. As Christians we can say a lot of things but it is our actions that speak the loudest to our community. ()
· You will know them by their fruit. ()
· The way we live reflects our faith in God. ( I have been crucified with Christ)
Conclusion:
As we conclude our service today I would like you to remember that our faith is both Spiritual and practical. We need both expressions of our faith to flourish. If you take the time throughout your day, you will begin to notice the opportunities for your faith to be activated.
· Involved in church life
· Oasis Help
· Get to know your Neighbours
· What are the practical ways that you can show faith in your community.
