THis Virus Thingey

our situation is interesting

we have not been faced with something like this in our lifetime

governments are imposing more and more restrictions

people seemingly becoming more irrational and more panicky

two questions

Q1 how do we respond as human beings?

Q2 even more relevant, how do we respond as born again believers

Romans 15:5 NIV

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,

Endurance

* we certainly need endurance

each day brings a new thing - a greater fear, a more desperate response, a greater pressure to succumb to panic

yet Christ has given us great endurance

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience

let us rest in that power

no need to do this in own strength - it is far bigger than any one of us can do

push into God more and more - speak in tongues more, read the Word more, play more God music

We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

our endurance is inspired - that is comes from and is empowered by this great hope

let us not succumb to the fear and the worldly response

we will endure and we will continue to shine as lights in the darkness

we have the Holy Spirit so let live by the Holy Spirit

we certainly need encouragement

encouragement that all will turn out OK

that God will look after us in all our needs

let us not fear what the virus thingey can do

we have a great hope of eternal life in Christ

what can this virus do against the salvation in the blood of the Lamb
