The news of Coronavirus being a world pandemic has caused a range of emotions among people all over the world. Some people have dismissed this crisis. While others have become fearful. Others have done diligence and have tried to make some form of preparation, under the idea its better to have and not need it, than to need it and not have it. No matter what group you fall into today, I come to give you some encouragement. This a great time to set some fire under yourself and began to use the gift God has given you. That is the case in our text today.
As Paul sits in prison in Rome, awaiting his own trial and execution
While this is undoubtedly a message to Timothy, whom some suspect was quiet and timid (cf ), it may well be that Paul is reminding himself of this message also. He is preparing to face his own death and, as many martyrs note, it requires power, love, and self-discipline to go willingly to one’s own death.
It is Paul’s desire not that his legacy live on, but rather that the gospel continue to move forward, when he has passed off of the scene.

This spirit will avoid trouble at all cost.
A spirit, is our inclination, soul. It is our emotional dispositions considered collectively and understood by the seat of emotional faculties, the soul; especially as positively or negatively disposed toward God.
God has given everybody a spirit. However, there is spirit that shouldn’t be associated with God’s people. That is a spirit of
Fear, cowardice is a trait of lacking the quality of spirit that enables you to face danger or pain without showing fear.
Some people will only shout while things are good in their life. But what happens when the struggles come? What happens when the world is face with a pandemic?
A Spirit That Is Resilient
A Spirit That Is Resilient
This is a spirit that can easily adjust to misfortune or change.
Why?
Because it is a spirit of power.
Being able to make known influence over reality in a supernatural manner.
Being able to show force in a power in a difficult time.
Because it is a spirit of love.
Having a positive emotion of regard and affection.
Having a love that is sincere, in appreciation of others.
Because it is a spirit of self-control.
A spirit that makes you wise.
To behave in a sensible manner, implying thoughtful awareness of what is best.
Paul facing his own death understood this well.
We have to encourage one another to not be fearful in the face of a crisis.
Because of the spirit has given us.
We have to encourage ourselves even while encouraging others.
Jesus on the cross tells him mother and disciple. Woman thy son, and son thy mother. Suggesting you can make together.
You have to have a persevering spirit during these times.
When the stores close, Persevere
When the food supply gets low, Persevere
When your shut up in the house against your will, Persevere
When it comes to worship, Pesevere
There is no better time to show the world the faith of God people than in a crisis.
Persevere!!!!!!
