For the first time in modern history from a purely social perspective, millionaires and people on welfare are in the same position.
This pitiful pandemic has pushed our president, paralyzed our people, and provoked our nation to pray!
Churches of different denominations are in the same situation! Malls are empty, bars are barren, Arenas and stadiums normally full of noise are now quiet as a church mouse!
Now we are forced to “Shelter In” - “Stay IN The House”
There are three things about this Corvid-19 virus that I know is true:
God is still in Control
God is not in panic mode
God is not playing hide-and-go-seek
God has away of getting our attention!

Could it be that God is trying to speak to us while were in our house about our House! (1st Point)
I want to draw our attention to the book of Joshua:
The Right Perspective
Joshua 23:1–3 ESV
A long time afterward, when the Lord had given rest to Israel from all their surrounding enemies, and Joshua was old and well advanced in years, Joshua summoned all Israel, its elders and heads, its judges and officers, and said to them, “I am now old and well advanced in years. And you have seen all that the Lord your God has done to all these nations for your sake, for it is the Lord your God who has fought for you.
Joshua 23:
Isreal was going into the promised land
But
Joshua was old in age but he had to help Isreal put things in the right perspective
He told them to be strong to continue to obey the Law of Moses (He said don’t turn from it)
He told them not to be caught up with other nations - Don’t serve or bow down to their God
(Add to note) - We cannot present God with a one sided point of view
Joshua 23:14–15 ESV
“And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed. But just as all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you have been fulfilled for you, so the Lord will bring upon you all the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land that the Lord your God has given you,
Joshua 23:14–16 ESV
“And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed. But just as all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you have been fulfilled for you, so the Lord will bring upon you all the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land that the Lord your God has given you, if you transgress the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them. Then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land that he has given to you.”
In chapter 24 He continues to talk about how the Lord has brought them through and out!
Out of Egypt and through the Red Sea
Delivered from the Amorites and the King of Moab
Crossed the Jordan and Through Jericho
I’m In A House but It’s Not My House
Joshua 24:12–13 ESV
And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out before you, the two kings of the Amorites; it was not by your sword or by your bow. I gave you a land on which you had not labored and cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’
Joshua 24:
“I sent the Hornet” - Panic, i.e., a state of fearful confusion
panic, i.e., a state of fearful confusion
“Which drove them out before you” - I believe this is happening now…
God is driving out kings in his own kingdom! -
Proverbs 16:18 ESV
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs
It was not by your sword or by your bow…
I gave you land on which you had not labored and cities you had not built
You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant!
Your in a place with a roof but if it had not been for God!!!!
The Choice Is Yours
Joshua 24:14–15 ESV
“Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
