Psalm 25:13 NLT
13 They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the land.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus name

New Season

The word new is filled with promise, hope, and potential.

It signifies the ending of some things and the beginning of new things.
New is a word in the Bible that is synonymous with God's grace and power that can bring new life.

New Mercies

Revelation 2:17 NLT
17 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it.
God's promise is this: "I make all things new"
Revelation 21:5 NKJV
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
We need a new work of grace today!
Isaiah 52:1–2 NLT
1 Wake up, wake up, O Zion! Clothe yourself with strength. Put on your beautiful clothes, O holy city of Jerusalem, for unclean and godless people will enter your gates no longer. 2 Rise from the dust, O Jerusalem. Sit in a place of honor. Remove the chains of slavery from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
Isaiah 52:1–2 The Message
1 Wake up, wake up! Pull on your boots, Zion! Dress up in your Sunday best, Jerusalem, holy city! Those who want no part of God have been culled out. They won’t be coming along. 2 Brush off the dust and get to your feet, captive Jerusalem! Throw off your chains, captive daughter of Zion!

Spiritual Sleep

It could be a spiritual sleep, like when Samson slept in the lap of Delilah.
It could be the emotional sleep of depression.
Proverbs 6:10–11 NKJV
10 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep— 11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.
"A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man" (). "Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare" (20:13). Christ told of the ten virgins, five of which fell asleep and were not ready when the bridegroom came (). The disciples slept in the Garden of Gethsemane (26:36-45). "Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed" (). Prov. 20 "Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare" (20:13). Proverbs 20:13 NKJV
13 Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; Open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with bread.
Revelation 16:15 NLT
15 “Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.”

2. Put Your Clothes On!

"Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed" (). Preaching Through the Year - – Preaching Through the Year: Volume 2: 52 Impactful Messages.
Romans 13:12 NLT
12 The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.
Eph. 6:10
Ephesians 6:10–18 NLT
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Clothe your life with those qualities of character that make you spiritually strong, not spiritually weak.
Our spiritual clothing and covering is the real key to dressing for prosperity, success and victory

III. Shake The Dust Off

Matthew 10:14 AMP
14 And whoever will not receive and accept and welcome you nor listen to your message, as you leave that house or town, shake the dust [of it] from your feet.
Matt.Jesus used this same terminology when He told His disciples to shake off the dust from their feet if they went to preach the Gospel in a town and were not accepted (). They were to shake off the dust, not take the dust with them to the next town. Shaking off the dust represents not taking with us negative attitudes and feelings from a painful situation into a new opportunity God gives us. If we do, we will only spoil the new things because of the negative baggage we are still carrying. Do you have dust on your feet from an experience you have endured that is disappointing, painful, or negative? Then shake it off! Let those negative feelings go so you can move forward with a clean heart and a clean mind to the new opportunities God has for you. IV. Rise Up & Overcome

Revelation 3:21 NKJV
21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
Jesus promises to share His throne and His glory with us in eternity. We have the right to sit with Him on His throne ().
This means we are spiritual royalty, so let's start acting like it.
The New Testament underscores the spiritual power and authority we have in Jesus so we can live in victory (see ; ; ). Such power and privilege should not make us proud; rather, we should be humbled by such grace that God would bless us to this extent. Such power gives us confidence to face every challenge with the mind-set of a victor instead of a victim. You are a new person in Christ with new potential. You have to see yourself that way. Get rid of old labels and stereotypes that are restrictive and self-defeating, and see yourself as royalty in Christ. Preaching Through the Year - – Preaching Through the Year: Volume 2: 52 Impactful Messages.
John 1:12 NKJV
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
Romans 8:14–17 NKJV
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

1 Peter 2:9–10 NKJV
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
We have the spiritual power and authority in Jesus so we can live in prosperity and victory

V. Free Yourself

Proverbs 6:1–5 NLT
1 My child, if you have put up security for a friend’s debt or agreed to guarantee the debt of a stranger— 2 if you have trapped yourself by your agreement and are caught by what you said— 3 follow my advice and save yourself, for you have placed yourself at your friend’s mercy. Now swallow your pride; go and beg to have your name erased. 4 Don’t put it off; do it now! Don’t rest until you do. 5 Save yourself like a gazelle escaping from a hunter, like a bird fleeing from a net.
ProvIn Proverbs we read that if we have gotten ourselves into financial straits, we need to free ourselves (see 6:1-5). The power of the Spirit is the power of freedom (). Christ came to free us (see ; ; ; ; ). We need to walk in that freedom. If we find ourselves in bondage, then let us free ourselves (see ). Sometimes we need God to free us, but sometimes we need to free ourselves by taking responsibility for our lives. As this year draws to a close and we stand on the brink of a new year, let's ask God for a fresh start. Let's take His Word to heart and put it into practice: Awake from your slumber. Clothe yourself with strength. Shake off your dust. Rise up and sit enthroned. Free yourself! Preaching Through the Year - – Preaching Through the Year: Volume 2: 52 Impactful Messages.

Luke 4:18–19 NKJV
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
