Sunday Service (Virtual) 3/22/20 - Proverbs 11:24-31 What Should We Do?
1. Apply and demonstrate what you believe.
2. Don’t be surprised. John 16:33 - I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
3. Have peace and courage: Heb 13:5-6 – Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?
4. Enjoy your faith in trials.
5. Prov 11:24-31
24 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer;
25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered.
26 The people curse him who holds back grain,
but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it.
27 Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor,
but evil comes to him who searches for it.
28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall,
but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.
29 Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind,
and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and whoever captures souls is wise.
31 If the righteous is repaid on earth,
how much more the wicked and the sinner!
6. Practical Application: Less time or More time? This too is God’s doing.
