Isaiah Chapter 24 - The Babylonian Invasion is a Picture of the Great Tribulation - In particular 24:21-23 speaks of the great end-time judgment God will pour out on the faithless nations of this earth
Isaiah Chapter 25 - The Retribution of God’s Wrath is Poured out and He now re-gathers and restores Israel
Isaiah 25:
9 It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”
- Restore Israel Finds:
Physical Safety (26:1-2)
Renewed Interest in Spiritual Matters (26:7-9)
Restored Acceptance of God as their King and Master (26:12-15)
vv. 12 - God alone Establishes PEACE
vv. 13-14 - The punished leaders will not be “resurrected” to rule over us...
v. 15 - God has increased the Nation
Resurrection of the Righteous from the Dead (26:16-20)
v. 16 - We prayed in time of trouble
vv. 17-18 - Our efforts at deliverance had only produced “the wind” “we have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth”
v. 19 - God alone Resurrects the Righteous who have died and Restores LIFE to them!
Warning & Justice (26:20-21)
Time to Hide for a moment (26:20) -
The World will be judged (26:21) - God’s Justice, not man’s injustice
Two Verses to Take Away:
v. 3 - The Promise of Peace to the Faithful and Focused “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in you...”
v. 12 - The Source of Peace is God and God Alone “Lord, You will establish peace for us, For You have also done all our works in us...”
3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
