Scripture: Psa 27:1-6, 13-14

John 16:33; James 1:2

1. Declaring His Steadfast Faith in the Lord (v.1)

To combat fear is by declaring:

  • He is our light because He guides us.
  • He is our salvation because He saves us.
  • He is our stronghold because He protects us.

The Apostle Paul’s encourages us in Rom 8:31.

2. Remembering His Experiences of God’s Deliverance (vv.2-3)

Faced with the challenge of COVID-19:

  • Remember the past goodness of God in delivering us
  • Recall and our testimonies will build up our faith

3. Restoring His Intimacy with the Lord (v.4)

During this COVID-19 situation, the Lord is wanting believers to:

  • Go back to the basics of spending time in His Presence
  • Enjoy His Presence
  • Appreciate and Love Him afresh
  • Receive His rest, refreshing and strength

4. Receiving God’s Blessings of Assurance and Protection (vv.5–6, 13-14)

Seeking God by spending time in His Presence, we will receive His blessings of confidence, protection, safety and peace.

David’s encouragement and counsel to us can be found in vv.13-14

We can remain calm and composed because:

  • Our God is on our side
  • His goodness never fails
  • He has given us His promise in Rom 8:28

Conclusion

Stay Resilient, by:

  • Keeping our declaration filled with faith
  • Remembering God’s goodness
  • Restoring our communion with the Lord
  • Being assured we will receive good from Him
  • Acknowledging our God is Sovereign and is in control
