This Jeremiah is in prison. Zedekiah is subject to Nebuchadnezzar and the children of Israel are being exiled to Babylon, there appears to be no future for Judah and Israel,Jeremiah buys a field from his cousin. He He signs the deed. He has the transaction witnessed and notarized. He weighs the silver on a scale to make sure it is accurate. He takes the documents and has them buried in the ground in casing them for the future.
Making plans for after COVID-19
. 3/29/2020
King Zedekiah considered Jeremiah crazy. Some considered him worse- they considered him a traitor to his people and seditious. Why, his message and actions were not popular, but he was not following the instructions of the government or the religious hierarchy; he was being faithful to Yahweh.
I admit, somethings God asks his prophets to carry out bizarre assignments.
I admit, somethings God asked of Jeremiah were insane to the natural mind.
God speaks to his servants the loudest when their circumstances are more threatening.
This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
State authorities are referring to a surge of COVID-19 cases in April. Thousands of people could die from this disease in America. Yet, today we will speak to the future after COVID-19.
State authorities are referring to a surge of COVID-19 cases in April. What that means, no one fully can comprehend. For today we will envision our future after COVID-19.
THE SITUATION COULD NOT BE WORSE.
The bible mentions the very date and time of this story. The army of the king of Babylon was then besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was confined in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace of Judah.
In the third year of Donald Trump’s presidency, the word of the Lord came to the church of Jesus Christ, while the Coronavirus was still ravaging lives, millions were unemployed and confined to their homes
Our 2020 theme is Courageous Followers.
The city was under siege the prophet was defeated, and the people in exile. Yet God directs him to purchase a piece of land in his hometown. Israel was a bankrupt country going under and yet God directed the prophet to put a hard cash down on Israel‘s future.
The city was under siege the prophet was defeated, and the people in exile. Yet God directs him to purchase a piece of land in his hometown.
This is nothing but faith.
We walk by faith and not by sight. The just shall live by faith.
It takes courage to plan for your future when almost everything in our world is put on hold.
This is the word the Lord has given me to tell you..
It did not make any sense for Jeremiah. Why?
He heard the voice of God and obeyed.
God operates on a different plain than the world.
GOD’S PEOPLE COULD NOT BE IN A BETTER POSITION.
“Hanamel son of Shallum your uncle is going to come to you and say, ‘Buy my field at Anathoth, because as nearest relative it is your right and duty to buy it.’”
This a story of mercy in the midst of judgment.
This a story of mercy in the midst of judgment.
This is Ray of light beaming through the darkness. This is a picture of future restoration in the midst of present tragedy
Listen, This is the most important time in our history. God is not going to release us to go back to our normal way of life until God is finished with our humiliation.

Jeremiah was considered crazy and thrown into prison for his message.
Can we as pastors and leaders take a risk and speaks God’s truth. Not for self promotion, but to make simple enough for all to understand…
Not for self promotion, but to make simple enough for all to understand…
You want me to buy a field in Judah, when our people are taken captive in Babylon. There is no telling how long we will be there… Nebuchadnezzar has taken over our nation and I am sitting in prison. You want me to make plans to purchase my family’s land.

Was this crazy, or an act of obedience and prophecy?
DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE ON HOLD. IT IS TIME TO MAKE PLANS FOR THE FUTURE.
Do not put your life on hold, make plans for the future by faith
Nothing in the Bible every tells you to put your life on hold.
In other words, become stagnant as your wait for fait to decide your future.
the Bible does say to wait….
Waiting in not putting your life on hold.
This makes no sense when you are ordered to remain at home and keep your distance from people.
God directed the prophet Jeremiah to transact business while he was in prison, the city was under siege and his people were in exile.
GOD HAS A PLAN FOR US.
Jeremiah 32:15 NIV
For this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land.’
There’s a great concern about what business will look like in the near future. We are concerned about 5G technology and the Internet of things. With automation, many people will not be needed in the workforce.

No need for bus drivers. Long distance trucking going driverless. Automation at restaurants. And yet, God has not left us.
Cities are under siege, the Covid virus is at the gate, and the church is not allowed to congregate publicly. Now is the time to make plans for our future. Now is the time for you to make plans for your future.

Jeremiah purchased the land in Anathoth for 17 pieces of silver.
God has promised that Israel will prosper again. You will live after the COVID-19 spread. Because the church did not end at the crucifixion of Jesus. The church actually grew.

Make plans for your future. But don’t look back, look forward. Look at the things God is called you to do And be and not what you do to make a living.
Why did God direct Jeremiah to buy this field? Because God would one day restore his people.
Jeremiah 32:36–41 LEB
“So now therefore, thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning this city, of which you are saying, ‘It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the plague’: Look, I am going to gather them from all the lands to which I driven them in my anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath, and I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell in safety. And they will be for me a people, and I will be for them God. And I will give to them one heart and one way, to revere me forever, for good to them, and to their children after them. And I will make with them an everlasting covenant that I will not turn away from them, my doing good to them, and my reverence I will put in their hearts so that they will not turn aside from me. And I will rejoice over them to do good to them, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness with all my heart, and with all my inner self.”
Jeremiah 32:36–41 NIV
“You are saying about this city, ‘By the sword, famine and plague it will be given into the hands of the king of Babylon’; but this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. They will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them. I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.

‘It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: 37 Behold, I will pgather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them qto dwell safely. 38 They shall be rMy people, and I will be their God; 39 then I will sgive them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. 40 And tI will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but uI will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. 41 Yes, vI will rejoice over them to do them good, and wI will 6assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’

THIS IS WHAT I SENSE THE LORD IS SAYING AND WHAT THE LORD WILL DO FOR US AFTER THIS.
WE HAVE BUSINESS WITH GOD AFTER THE CORONAVIRUS.
Jerimiah asked the question, “is there anything too wonderful for God to do?”
I know God is going to do something supernatural when the pandemic is over.
At that time every pastor will see his colleague as a companion
Pastors will learn from one another. One message will compliment the other. We will pray for the success of our colleagues.
The Lord wants his preachers to own the Bible. Every book, every chapter and every verse should be studied until the word of God becomes legal in the soul of his servants.
Jesus Christ shall renew his covenant with the church.
The prophet was the conscience of God. We shall be the conscious of God again.
Jerimiah did not purchase the land for himself but as a testimony to the future of his people.
The Lord will build the church from the inside out.
The body of Christ will have all things in common. There will be no such thing as launch churches in small churches they will only be different fields of labor and different levels of responsibility. But the church will be one. Pastors will see each other as companions and they will learn the gospel from each other and share the word of God so that it complements the message of the other
The church will be smaller but it will be pure. We will preach Jesus again. Instead of looking for revelation we will look for a shepherd. Instead of wanting more we will be more generous for we will seek those things that are above with Christ Sith at the right hand of God the father.
Music ministries will change. We will not sing popular songs to sell more records but we will sing to the Lord in warfare and Thanksgiving.
The church will no longer be a business. It will be the witness of Jesus Christ on earth. And I’ll practice will not be in court with industry, it will be in accord with prophecy.
God told him to invest in the future of the nation. When the profits act in faith the people respond in faith. When our leaders pointed direction for the body of Christ the body of Christ will follow. If we discern what God is doing and can illustrated by our obedience we can bring come to the United States of America and to the world.
Jerimiah was commanded to purchase land from his kinsman. You and I have a kinsmen in Jesus Christ. And through Jesus Christ, our kinsman redeemer, we are all brothers and sisters.
The land that he would purchase was in his hometown of Anathoth. Yeah, there’s people were in Babylon and would be there for generations.
