Where are Those With Faith?
Where are Those With Faith?
Read Psalm 14:1-2, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.”
One thing, that marks man being made in the image of God, is not that it only extends to the possible structure of how we are, as Scripture states, “I saw one like a son of Man” in various places, but it is even going to the type of person, in that we can make decisions and moral determinations and also to act freely in our decisions.
David in divine inspiration, full of God’s thoughts, states, and from God’s area of battle against all entities that is against him. Not even because he wanted this, but because people and angels, put themselves against him. One commentary states, “aggressive perversity” and “moral suicide” are elements to denying God, and I would say, speak such, even if the words do not come from the mouth.
People think that they can hide, and when they feel safe hiding, they can make, and do make outrageous and also foolish statements even denying that which is plain. And David, speaks God’s words and exposes the way the world typically is and by sin nature, is seen as.
Because of the intervening grace of God, there is a way out, and escape, and God looks to find the person who:
believes the truth
believes God
**cf. It is why in the Bible it speaks about people being “upright in their generation”. God sees.
** the issue at stake, is about deeply seated will-desire. What the sinner does not want. They deny, not because of evidence, or reason, but because of will and desire. This is sin at the nature level. Therefore to understand, has to be a work of God, while available for Adam’s descendants. Who want’s a cross - few - so few pain themselves to understand and believe.
So Scripture here also correctly refers to the world as “children”. Healing to God, means, you have left the childhood humanity experience of ignorance. Spiritually speaking. As even a child can be knowledgeable by faith.

Psalm 14:3-6, “They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. 4 Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD? 5 There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous. 6 You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.”
To be bent on a corruption, means that at some point the stick, or pole, or thing, was not bent. There are determinative places, when corruption takes root. It is something that they became. When Moses was on the mountain, Israel, became something that they were not before. They were corrupted. This is different than the sinful nature. People in this world, at specific points determinatively turned aside from truth, in major ways, leading to increased corruptness of them and others and bring about evil on God’s good earth.
It is also personal. Not even one person, is exempt. Knowledge has flowed down a river, the evil are exalted, and destroy God’s people and use them. And people do not call on the Lord.
So, it seems at times, when all seems lost, God will act sovereignly in the preservation of his people and purpose from an electoral point of view. The point to refer to, between divine sovereignty and volition of man, is impossible to point to.
If you can truly chooooooose, something that would jeopardize your standing. Which the Bible says is possible and Israel, chosen of God, fell. So things that seem concisely explainable, having to do with God’s “how” actually cannot be explained. It’s not for you to know. But know that both are possible.
So we see God holding people in terror, and people in faith having his peace, in the world. And even if it means having to suffer through evil in the world, joy from God cannot be taken. We also see, that God is interested in everyone.

Read Psalm 14:7, “7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
So the psalmist, David, pleads with God, that there would be a sovereign opening of a stream from Zion, from the place that God has purposed to be:
The place of his salvation
The place of true worship
The place where restoration is experienced
The place of delight in being restored to God
Jerusalem, has been chosen by God, to be the place where his covenant is completed. Note: God only relates to people in the world by covenant. If you were not in the Old Testament covenant, you were not belonging to God. If you are not connected in the new covenant. You, are not part of his people. No individual was ever restored or related to God apart from a covenant. And the only existing covenant today, is the one in Christ’ blood. All others reflect and point to and are fulfilled, in the covenant of Christ’s shed blood.
No person, who claims to know God, can deny this covenant, without showing themselves to be without knowledge of the truth. And every claim from any “spiritual” in the world, is spurious, if they deny this truth.
God bless
