“Make them sit down in groups of fifty”
Shepherding is about structure. Shepherding is about calming down the commotion. The apostles knew they were hungry because I imagine people probably began to voice their opinion.
We can the greatest plan but if we cannot somehow bring calmness to the hearts of the people we cannot expect anything to happen.
In the midst of calamity and uncertainty add structure to your life. Right now is the time to be organized, schedule your day. Prioritize your day.
“And they did so, and made them all sit down”
We cannot handle these uncertain times by ourselves. Even Jesus empowered those around him to help with the multitude.
“sit down” In a sense of laying down at the expense of being far spent. People were tired, hungry, and restless.
Many people right now feel like this. There’s nothing wrong with this but understand God is truly going to provide sustenance in the midst of our fatigue.
Sometimes you have to sit down so God can prepare your blessing.
“Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven”
12 Men who brought what they had to Jesus impacted thousands.
Bringing what you have to Jesus might be the difference between you doing what you’re doing right now and impacting individuals.
If Jesus Equips you he can Enable you. You just have to bring the resource to him.
Where we find ourselves messed up is the fact that we try to do Jesus’ job for him. Never forget that He does the miracle but he might allow us to distribute the blessing.
You can’t distribute for Jesus if you are holding on to something else besides him.
He fills our hands so we can fill others hearts. The nature of God is to use what we have to be a blessing to many. Think about all the people you come in contact with every day. So to lay your head down at night and not be a blessing to someone is a problem.
25 The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
Understand that this was the end of the day. The twelve’s first response was to send them on their way.
And he who waters will also be watered himself.
It’s easier to send someone away than to help them.
Jesus says feed them, they are confused because they are looking at the problem rather than Jesus as the solution.
The impact isn’t about money, it isn’t about man power it’s about trusting in Jesus. Trusting in him can change the entire world.
Our resource in the hands of Jesus is what enlarges our capacity of impact.
