Hello again and thank you for joining me for our 190th episode of Kids Bible Minute. I’m your host Landon Rowell and also I’m the preacher for the church of Christ here in Ramona, OK. Thank you for taking time out of your day today to study God’s precious Word with me. I would like to also thank the Oologah church of Christ for making this program possible. I hope you have your Bible ready so that when I mention a Bible verse you can pause this podcast, open your Bible to that scripture and see it for yourself. Now, typically when you unpause the podcast I will read the verse out loud so that you can simply follow along with me but in case I don't you have now read each verse for yourself. Lately we have been studying in the book of Revelation but I wanted to take today’s study in a slightly different direction. With all the Covid-19 or Corona Virus scare going on I wanted to simply read and remind us all that our God is greater than this virus and that we don’t have to fear it. That isn’t to say we shouldn’t be cautious or that we should ignore warnings, it simply means we don’t have to live today any more afraid of it than we do any other danger this life presents. Why is this the case, because God is greater than this virus or this world. Let’s look at some encouraging verses from our God to His people over the years.

Isaiah 41:10 ESV

10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:13 ESV

13 For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

John 14:27 ESV

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

2 Timothy 1:7 ESV

7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
