Dear father, thank you for this day, Father we just ask a blessing on Mark and Doreen as they enter in to this union. We want to thank you for each person here and may they be a blessing in Mark and Doreen’s marriage.

Mark Doreen, How are you guys doing today? Are you ready for this?

As you guys get ready to enter in to this thing we call Marriage, I wanted to talk to both of you and give you some encouragement.

Today is a new beginning, for both of you. After to day it is no longer Just Mark or Doreen. After today you become one.

But I could tell you both love each other and are excited for today. Not just because you bought the marriage license and don’t want it to go to waste.

I love the story about how the proposal went.

We live in a world that people just throw around the word Love. But you guys know love is not something that just happens over night. Love is not just a word, Love is not just giving up on the other one when things get hard. Love is not what we often think that it is. Love doesn’t always look like we think it should

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

We hear the the love is patient, love is kind. But you both know thats not always as easy as it sounds. there are fights and times when you just don’t have the patient to put up with the other one. And where kindness is thrown out the window.

Love does not envy its not boastful or arrogant. Its not rude or self seeking… Love is not irritable, and listen very carefully on this last one. It keeps no record of wrongs.

Man that last one can be hard!!! But with love the past can be forgive.

Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in truth! I want to encourage both of you from here on out to always speak truth with each other. To tell each other everything even when it's hard.

I always felt the last verse in the common set of verses are the main ones over looked.
