Zechariah 9:9; Luke 19:1-11; John 12:1-18
Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem!
Look, your King is coming to you; he is righteous and victorious,
humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
What Happened During Holy Week:
1. The Friday before Good Friday:
In Jericho, Zacchaeus became a Jesus-follower.

2. Saturday before Palm Sunday:
In Bethany, Mary anointed Jesus.
John 12:1-8
3. Palm Sunday:
Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

4. Monday - Wednesday:
Jesus taught the crowds in the Temple and the Disciples in Bethany.

5. Maundy Thursday:
Jesus laid low in Bethany, celebrated the Last Supper, issued the New
Commandment, prayed in the Garden, and was arrested by the Temple Guard.

6. Good Friday:
Jesus endured six trials, was mocked, beaten and crucified while the sin of the
world was laid upon Him, buried in a rich man’s tomb, and takes the thief on the
cross to Paradise.

7. Holy Saturday:
Jesus descended to Hades and led captives free to heaven.

8. Resurrection Sunday:
Jesus rose from the dead, greeted Mary Magdalene, walked 7 miles with friends,
walked through a wall, and ate some fish.
