THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD Psalm 23:2 As we continue to look at the psalm, David writes more about how we, as sheep, are cared for. “He” refers to the Lord, the Almighty God. “Maketh” means there is some _____________, or that He is a counter-balance. “Lie down” gives the picture of being at ______, knowing we are protected. “Green pastures” shows ______ than enough food and nourishment and provision. “Leadeth” tells us that God directs our path, because He knows the _____ path to follow. “Beside” gives the picture of right next to. Close by. “Still waters” are gently flowing waters that are ______ and ______ to drink from. The Lord, as our Shepherd, leads us to the place where we can have abundant provision. He cares for us. Psalm 23:2 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
