Proverbs 13:13–14 ESV
Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded. The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death.
H: revering the commandment
E: obedience to God’s Truth will bring life. Life brings joy and peace. Joy and peace leads others to God’s Truth. Reward comes to those who are obedient.
A: I need to know and share the truth of God’s Word by obeying them even as I share them with others. Reward comes after the race therefore I need to run my race with diligence and consistency.
R: may my life be a reflection of God’s Truth through obedience.
Proverbs 12:20 ESV
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.
H: planning peace
E: peace is active not passive and comes from the heart. Peace is a choice despite the circumstances around you. We must be active in planning peace and seeking peace. Being peacemakers
A: I must plan for peace and not expect it just to happen. Peace is as much a state of the mind and heart as it is circumstances.
R: Lord, help me learn to plan for peace, expecting it and finding it in You.
Proverbs 11:24–25 ESV
One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.

E: The generous person will grow richer, not necessarily in wealth but in integrity, relationships, and standing. Giving is a hallmark of God and we should reflect that when we are seeking to emulate and file Him
A: Generosity is noticed and rewarded by God. We are called to be generous with all He has provided.
R: I will seek to get generous in my giving to others what God has entrusted to me.
Proverbs 10:8–10 ESV
The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. Whoever winks the eye causes trouble, and a babbling fool will come to ruin.

E: listening and learning vital to leading a healthy and secure life. too much idle talking leads to ruin and unhealthy ways. integrity is essential to living life with meaning and purpose.
A: I must be receptive to instruction (God’s commandments) and be true and honest in life.
R: Lord, help me to be obedient, true, and honest in my words and deeds.
