Introduction: Defining the Pain
We are living in times that will be written about in the history books. It will take on a name of the Covid-19 pandemic that shut down the world. There will be statistics of the number of cases and deaths around the world. But, as in any war, the sacrifice and the struggle of the people going through it will get lost in the pages.
There has been such an out-pouring of the human spirit and sacrifice as we come together to take care of one another. The government policies can never replace us loving our neighbor as ourselves.
For believers with ears to hear and eyes to see the scriptures come alive with end time prophecy of our coming King. And as soon as I say that there are some that will turn me off in their minds because they suppose it to be that doom and gloom preaching. But when I think of my coming King that not what comes to my mind.
As we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Christ next weekend, the most significant event in human history, we have to put it in its full context.
Scripture: Defining the Passage
The resurrection of Jesus Christ means nothing if he does not return as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and set all things right.
The blessing of the second coming is that the Lamb of God has always been the Lion of Judah that has the power the remove the curse on creation that is causing all these groanings and heartaches.
Today is called Palm Sunday because it was on this day that Jesus entered Jerusalem and the people recognized him as their king by laying palm branches in front of the donkey on which he was riding.
Some were receiving their King, some were rejecting the King, and some were questioning the King.
There were some oblivious all together and others in rejection of Jesus as any kind of King. This is a choice in the minds of people that is still going on today. As a matter of fact it’s a choice that you will have to make at the end of this message. Some will receive Jesus as their King. Others will reject Jesus as King. But none of these decisions change the fact of who Jesus is.
Come on a spiritual journey with me this morning as we discover the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Warning Signs of His Coming
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
